Not sure he'd fit into a tight tactical system and seemed a bit undisciplined to me.

 

Not saying he was lazy or anything cos he clearly wasn't but I really couldn't see him tracking a marauding full back as an opponent attacked us on the break.

If Rafa can accomodate a player like Garcia then I'm sure he could have coped with McManaman.

Fair point, but I'd honestly say that Garcia is more likely to track back than McManaman. Maybe it's just me, but that was the impression I was left with.
