Fabio Aurelio - How do you rate him?

I am not sure what to think of him up to now. I am not sure how good his English is but he seems rather quiet on the field. He seems to have a hell of a shot on him but his accuracy hasn't quite been there.

Just wondered what some of the lads who go regularly think of him?

Reckon he's got the ability. Seems like his mind is elsewhere at times....

He hasn't really produced anything yet, but has the look about him of a very good player. I don't think he's settled yet.

Crap at corners

Should help him fit in then.

too early to tell.

Is the right answer. He's had a handful of games in which he's been played in at least two if not three positions. Unlucky to not have two-three goals by now and is still finding his feet.

Didn't valencia refuse to play him from december onwards when he wouldn't sign a new contract? He could take a while to really get going.

He's done ok. Think he's ready for a rest myself. At the moment he's not really offering anything the Gonzales doesn't, who would offer more going forward imo.

I like him. You can see he's got very good technique although it's not all on show yet.

He'll score a few stunners this season I reckon.

Looks a bit dodgy positionally at left-back for me.

Doesn't offer as much going forward on the left-wing as the likes Of Gonzalez or Kewell (if he was ever fit).

Might get better with time though.

Good player with obvious abilty, just struggled with the pace in a few games, which is fine. It takes time to settle and adjust to a new team and league.

I think Rafa would have used him in Europe and Riise in the league, but once Riise got injured he's had to play in almost every game and it's taken a lot out of him. He looked tired last night.

I like him as a player. He's only been here a couple of months. Finnan took a season to come into his own.

His decision making as regards shooting / crossing seems poor at the moment. The shot yesterday was very poor ( and selfish )

Prefer him at left back than left mid as I think he offers more from that position. That said I'm not sure he's the best option at left back as defending isn't the best part of his game. Excellent free kicks but needs to work on his corners. Looks a little slow to me as well and unfit at the moment, thought he was out on his feet after about 30 mins last night.

to be fair, i'd probably only give agger, finnan and maybe bellamy more than about 5 out of 10 for this season so far.

I don't think Agger has done much wrong in the games he's played.

has "squad player" written all over him..

ok at left bk, decent at left mid.....probably a good wing back..

Certainly not one i can see as a fixture in our side with everyone fit...

And you've made your mind up already have you?

yes, after seeing him play previously for valencia....i feel he will struggle, he is injury prone as we all know and likes to get stuck in..

i just dont think he has that bit extra to be a permanent fixture in our side, for me he is a squad player..i also feel Riise is a far better player at both left bk and midfield.

and yes it is a squad game these days, but at the end of the day...the manager NEEDS to know his best 11.....and herein lies the problem with our side at the moment..

I agree he's hardly been impressive, but give him time mate. Finnan took a year to get going and he's irish; Aurelio is a brazilian who's been playing in spain. Imports usually don't settle in instantly from there. (alonso being the exception)

All i'm saying is its a bit unfair to form concrete judgements yet.
