Gotta say, I hate the idea of giving players an extra 2 points because of a goal...especially one that I could have scored the way Bellamy set it up!

Amazing that a goal can change an opinion of a players performance so much. Crouch had a quiet game and Riise was one of our poorer performers. Two good goals from them but their all-round performances were below par.

 

 

Reina, Agger, Carra, Bellamy and Aurelio all had good games, I thought - Zenden looked pretty good too in the middle. Momo was stand-out MoM though.

I think Crouchy deserves a 7. He didnt have much support but he did battle all game. He is never going to look like a superstar but he is an honest battler who gives his all. If Kuyt arrives he will be relegated to a subs role thpugh for sure.

 

I liked the look of the following players:

 

Bellamy, looked class to me

Gonzalez, once he finds his way he will be a good one. At the moment I think he is trying TOO hard.

Zenden, not a central midfielder who will take over a game but a good compliment with one who can

 

I think some of our guys were underdone and will be better for the run.
