floyd Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Too much Irn Bru is not good for you. What about Tizer?
Guest TheGaffa Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I personally don't think Rafa has any more of a say in the signing of a player other than putting his name forward to the board/Rick Parry. He may give an approximate valuation of the player from his scouting dept etc. just as a ball park figure but in my opinion it's pretty much left down to agents (*spit*) and Rick Parry
RafaShanks Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Not that I have any inside info or any of that shoite I just have a feeling. You started a thread on a hunch?
jimmylibel Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Not that I have any inside info or any of that shoite I just have a feeling. Rafa is not a silly man as we all know and is highly unlikely to waste money on signing players who played at the World Cup and would still be on holibobs, this week is when most of the players who played in the World Cup return to thier respective clubs.Even wages for a couple of weeks for a couple of bIg NaMes is a couple of hundred grand. 2+2 =twelvty That is all. Mockers - you've just put your head on the block their libero... if it comes off you're intuition will be hailed, if it doesn't you'll forever more be known as a Stevie H-esque figure of ill repute.
c00p Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I personally think Rafa is waiting to see what happens to the appeal in the Italian football inquest.
Flight Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I personally think Rafa is waiting to see what happens to the appeal in the Italian football inquest. Wasn't that supposed to be finished on Saturday ?

Not had any hailing yet??? Does one signing and two of our brightest youngsters tied up on long term deals constitute a big week for signings??? And its only Thursday
Sion Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Not had any hailing yet??? Does one signing and two of our brightest youngsters tied up on long term deals constitute a big week for signings??? And its only Thursday Oh mighty one Please give us some wisdom on whether we will sign a new striker soon.
libero Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Oh mighty one Please give us some wisdom on whether we will sign a new striker soon.As once said by the greatest ever Red. Mibbes aye or mibbes naw.
jimmylibel Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Not had any hailing yet??? Does one signing and two of our brightest youngsters tied up on long term deals constitute a big week for signings??? And its only Thursday But there's no 'bowing' smilie. The hailing will be more subtle though. It'll be when someone is in the midst of a debate they'll say "well libero said it" as proof of their arguement. Course it also means you're going to be plagued for inside information. So tell me, does Riise take his coffee with milk or sugar?
libero Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 So tell me, does Riise take his coffee with milk or sugar? Both if the truth be told.
jimmylibel Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Both if the truth be told. Expect the first FAO libero thread later today!
libero Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Expect the first FAO libero thread later today! They can all fook off an all, what info I have I keep to myself
Guest Kuzco Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 I think our spending is over TBH. I'd be very surprised if any other transfer activity took place.
Sion Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 I think our spending is over TBH. I'd be very surprised if any other transfer activity took place. I'd agree unless we can shift some players. I think Rafa would prefer no striker, than buying just for the sake of it.
Guest YKI Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 (edited) I think our spending is over TBH. I'd be very surprised if any other transfer activity took place. I don't agree, otherwise I reckon he'd have agreed to the extra £1.5 million for Alves. Edited July 28, 2006 by YKI
eth Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 I'd agree unless we can shift some players. I think Rafa would prefer no striker, than buying just for the sake of it.I reckon we might see a squad player brought in if Rafa doesn't have any realistic long-term targets. I hope we don't get into a similar position as we had with the right wing, with everyone knowing we need a striker and notching up their prices.
