I think its a poorly produced DVD. It is not the Sky or BBC commentary. Think its Peter Brackley (not sure though) with Ray Clemence. And all the goals from the road to the final except one are the same commentator.

 

The season review is a much better DVD and the 10+ minutes of the cup final highlights has the SKY commentary

Got it today for fathers day of my kids. And what a complete and utter let down it is!!!

 

The commentary has been done after the game by Peter Brackly and Ray Clemence.

 

I was hoping it was either SKY or BBC.

 

This commentary doesnt catch the atmoshere or anything ,i'm totally gutted its badly produced too.

 

SHHHH dont tell the kids though!

Yes thats the point Iam making we all though that it would be either BBC or SKY commentating on it.

 

The fact that its done AFTER the game doesnt do the game or the whole F A cup any justice.

 

And all the goals that got us there too done with the same guy, shame on the FA if you ask me.

 

Why didnt the FA either have BBC or SKy on it does anybody know???

 

Prob legal issues no dought.

I am guessing Granada wont let us sell a DVD with BBC commentary, I know some of our classic games are on DVD with BBC coverage, but all our season reviews are made in conjunction with one of our major shareholders.

 

I have the BBC coverage on DVD and I am in Aus :bleh:

There aren?t even any replays of the goals, just a quick spin through the earlier rounds. What kind of an idiot thought that the fans wouldn?t want proper highlights of each game but would in fact prefer some MTV wannabe 30 second rubbish?

 

I have watched the dvd once and it will be going on e-bay. I?ll wait for the club one which I hope has been done considerably better with proper highlights of the earlier rounds.

Mine is BBC but was delisted from ebay just after I paid for it.

 

So I got the DVD but the seller was breaking ebay rules - no doubt to do with copyright somewhere down the line.

The club are seling one on-line, can someone check and see if that is the same one that is being talked about?

I am nearly sure that the copy I bought in HMV (Ireland) had a yellow sticker on it saying it was an official FA product.

 

Agree, the commentary was dire. I turned it off after the earlier run through the rounds and realised it was Brackley that doing the commentating for the FINAL.

 

'Oh and its a goal' does not capture the essence of what was a thrilling run to the final and the drama itself at Cardiff.

 

I bought the season review and preferred to listen to the REAL commentary in the run to the final and final itself.

 

The DVD is a disgrace !!!!!

I too as my original post said find this DVD awfull and if it wasnt for the fact my Kids bought it for me for fathers day it would be on E-bay/Bin already!!!!

I've got it with about 30 seconds missing from about 88 minutes but it doesn't miss anything important.

That is the SBS coverage with Tyler and Gray doing the commentary.
