Think about the number of boys in this country that play football, and then think about the percentage of those that actually get to play in the Premier League. Then think about the percentage of those that actually get to captain their boyhood team, the team that they have suppoerted all their lives. Gary Neville is the 0.0000000001% that has achieved that. And you are surprised that he is so fervent in his celebrations when he beats the enemy in the last minute of the game that we had been on the back foot all the way through. When he plays for his country, he is just as dedicated and all players in this context are England players. not Chelsea or Liverpool or Spurs.

Yes, the City fans were very noisy yesterday. When you consider most Liverpool fans claim not to support or follow England, it makes you wonder why they hold the venue there doesnt it? Anyway, being an England fan, I hope all the players get a good reception.
