I got the impression that the ref was trying to over compensate for the assistant in Barca shirt incident. The goal should had stood.

Yeah one end displayed "B A R C A" and as the camera panned to the boring end and showed the yellow and white a guy in the pub shouted "They obviously digitally removed the word 'A R S E' from the transmission."

A Hammers mate and myself left the pub we had arranged to watch the game in because the fools were showing the BBC coverage. His words: "It'll be bad enough watching West Ham get battered. Watching the UEFA Cup Final it struck me that the delivery from Alves to Fabiano for the first goal is the kind service that Morientes would thrive upon. The thing is that we haven't been able to provide it for him in the time he has been with the club. Any headers that the forwards get in open play seem to be around 20 yards from goal. -
