  16. Yeah I saw that. Agree with you on that I'd never seen it before like that, but I don't go as much as I would like and the TV's cut-out a lot. It wasn't just that the crowd were on Pepe's side - Carra had just messed up, but that the crowd were turning on Carra.

IMO Perfect would've been retiring from internationals after the world cup. Retiring after the euros when he's 32 is merely satisfactory.
  18. That considerably overlooks that since Bobby Robson in 1990 (our second best manager ever) we've had 7 managers, 5 of which have been 'English' of which our record stands as: qualified to 2 out of 3 european championships and 1 of 2 world cups. Of which in these championships we've been knocked out in the group stages twice, and reached the second round twice. On home soil, which we didn't qualify we reached the semi-finals. Whereas the foreign scheisters have qualified to everything entered: 3 World Cups and 2 European Championships and in these have reached the quarter-finals on three occasions and the second round once with one competition to go. It is a very insular and cloistered view since our all-conquering olympic rowing team has a foreign coach [German] but no-one gives a s***. Edit: Correcting spelling and grammar.
  19. I don't get it. I seriously don't. I've seen the video countless times and at the point of impact you can see luis' ankle and knee bend the wrong way (from left-right to right-left.) It is going to hurt - even if it passes quickly - it will hurt initially. However people are so f***ing soft that they will be believe anyone else but their own eyes. I'm not arguing whether it was a foul or not or whether it deserved a booking - but the initial reaction from luis was pain, whether he dragged it out afterward is debatable. He didn't dive, and if anyone believes otherwise they never played football. IMO

Going on the basis that the definite starters are those that haven't started against Arsenal and that Suarez is protected: --------------------------- Doni Flannagan-----Kyrgiakos----Skrtel----(Robinson/Aurelio) -------------------Spearing-----Shelvey -------------Maxi-------Meireles----------Cole ----------------------------N'Gog However the case can be made that Wilson might play instead of either centre-back and Carroll might play to build up confidence and fitness.
