See above - Insua we got 750k. Though that's all we'll get. Hilariously we've added a buy clause, though his contract runs out in a year. Though we might get some recompense through a tribunal as he is under-23. No loan fee for Aquilani - but they are paying his full salary.

I referenced the Rafa figures between £3m (the initial offer) and varying amounts up to £6m (which is stated in the reference as a 'maximum' figure given certain clauses being met.) Given that he as employed a week later I chose the one above 3m that is below 6m i.e. £4m a reasonable assumption given the prevalent facts in the case, i.e. that it will be less than £6m. As for the Wilson fees - you'll notice I referenced the direct reporting from the official Rangers Website. It's £2m, then £3m broken down in to various clauses (appearances and performance based.) However as I said before, we are owed from the Nemeth, and Riera deals which are not counted either. Swings and roundabouts. So sure, add 3m for Wilson and £1m for Poulsen. Subtract 1.3m + 0.5m? for Riera and Nemeth. So 2.2m less profit. Still profit though. And that's the point. Edit: And yes- you mention Konchesky. What is the amount exactly? 3m + kids worth pittance? 3m including the kids? According to Fulham, (see previous link) they are very happy about their FA Youth Cup winning kids that they stolen from Liverpool. Given that LDV is rated higher than Nemeth and he just went for £1.05m + percentage, I don't think it unreasonable to value LDV at £1m. And the other kid is not bad either. Do you want to argue that we paid more than £3m for Konchesky? You mention signing-on fees. But you disregard wages. And signing on fees are wages, pure and simple (Ref: Taxman). We shipped out far more players than we signed.

Okay, lets have this dance. Though - I will reference all the transfer fees, but ignore add-ons. (i.e. going out - Wilson is another £3m, Poulsen is another €1.2m, coming in - Riera another £1.3m and Nemeth's 25% sell-on fee) The main question mark is the Konchesky fee - we've heard 3m including the kids or 3m + kids, where the two were valued up to 1.5m. Who knows? Either way you still have to count the kids as part of the deal. Best reference say LDV is 1m and Kacaniklic is 0.5m and say it was 3m including kids. In : Meireles £11.5m (€14m, exchange rate on 29/08/10 £1 = €1.22) Offal Poulsen £4.5m (€5.475m, €2.725m 6/08/10, exchange rate £1 = £1.20 and €2.75m on the 01/07/11) Juventus Site Shelvey £1.7m BBC Wilson £2m Rangers Site Jones £2.3m BBC Konchesky £3m ? (Cash + kids) Fulham Site IMScouting referencing a SKYsports broadcast Rafa pay off £4m (We know they offered that, and he negotiated more. 6m is quoted, but the caveat was that is if he had no job, which as we know only lasted a week.) Guardian with £3m Offer Guardian with £6m max Daily Mail 4m Metro with £5m Hodgson buy out £2m Echo Total : £31m Out : San Jose £2.6m (€3m, exchange rate on 20/05/10 £1 = €1.16) Echo Riera £3.4m (€4m, exchange rate on 23/07/10 £1 = €1.19) Greek Gazzeta Benayoun £5.5m Telegraph, Guardian Mascherano £19.7m (€24m, exchange rate on 27/08/10 £1 = €1.22) Barcelona Site Nemeth £1.05m (€1.3m, exchange rate on 20/08/10 £1 = €1.22) Sky Sports Insua £0.75m (Loan fee, exchange rate on 31/08/10 £1 = €1.21) Stock Exchange Report Sports Journal Damien Plessis £0.4m (undisc. a report from Greece saying €0.5m, and before that he was hawked around to benfica for £0.6m, exchange rate on 31/08/10 £1 = €1.21) Balleto & Mirror Lauri Dalla Valle £1.0m Fulham Site IMScouting referencing a SKYsports broadcast Alex Kacaniklic £0.5m Fulham Site IMScouting referencing a SKYsports broadcast Total : £34.9m So even including the manager fees, we still have made a profit of £3.9m. And to be honest I wouldn't count Jonjo Shelvey as that happened in April. Probably with the money from January.

Are you sure you want to put your name behind that math? Including the 5-6m that it cost for us to switch managers, we still made a substantial profit in the last window.

Total minutes played on the pitch. BBC refer to pure squad numbers. Though I'm not convinced about the BBC report. What's their cut-off for being in the squad? I mean if you look at last season - of the players who played (even if for only 3 minutes in one game the whole season) then we have a squad of 32. If you include sitting on the bench but being unused then a squad of 33. Of that 8 are English Nationals. (+ another 4 who if we had kept/ or will keep qualify for the home grown rule.) So the percentage is 75-76%. (Agrees reasonably with that FIFA thing) expats So assuming you argue what about the reserves? Well there are around 22 players in the reserve squad. But some play for the first team. Last season 7 played for the first team(or sat on the bench) So an extra 15 players. Of which 5 were English. Squad of 48 then. Of which 13 are English. Percentage - 73% expats But then maybe we consider professional contracts - i.e. the Academy players. 2nd Years, i.e. after they are 17. Well there are 13 players at the academy at the moment, who crossed this threshold last season. Of which 10 are English. So a squad of 61. Of which 23 are English. Percentage - 62% expats Conclusion? The BBC guy has pulled that figure (90%) out of his ass. Copy and paste job from somewhere. Shoddy work.

How about 'ransacked'?

Yeah but he said last four seasons, not years, otherwise I would agree.

Liverpool - European Final 07. Fulham - Europa League Final 10.

1. Kuyt 2. Reina 3. Torres

Remember all that level 1, level 2 and three stuff of football play from Henri Michel that we were supposed to be trying. i.e. we were playing level 2 and for a while (the run-in on 08/09) level 3. Well looks to me like we've gone back to level one again.

2 qualify fro each group, so 24 teams + 8 from the 3rd placed Champions League Group stages. Ed. Damn you Cobs!
-
If the clauses get met.
-
Which is less than £25m. Which we valued him at.
-
Which reports? BBC say £17.25m and sky say £16m + 6m add-ons.

You forget Keane. Rafa wanted Barry. Then would have sold Alonso to get Keane. Parry went and bought Keane before Barry. f***ing the whole thing up.
-
I've no idea were liverpoolhistory.net get that transfer from. Usually while not 100% accurate, their transfer fees are 'there or thereabouts' and often sourced from the echo or the bbc. This one though is pure bulls***. He was released and Cesena have not paid a transfer fee. It's on their official website!

Personally i don't think he's going to start many from last night. they played on a heavy pitch and must be tired. The only exceptions are right back were Roy played both Kelly and Johnson and Left back were Aurelio played for 77 minutes, since he won't play Insua. Unless he plays Agger again there. ---------------------Reina---------------------- Johnson-----Carra---Skrtel-------Aurelio Maxi----Spearing-----Gerrard---Jovanovic ---------------Torres-----Babel----------------

I'd argue with that. I think the Dutch lost a big chunk of their capability to win the Final (ignoring all the bad play and stupid refereeing) when they subbed Dirk in the Final. Dirk scores big goals. Because he has big cohones. What I would argue is that sometimes he shouldn't start. Like West Brom coming up. He's just played against Man City on Monday, Trabonzpor on Thursday on a very heavy pitch. His touch always looks s*** when he's tired.

http://www.ynwa.tv/forum/index.php?showtopic=148072&view=findpost&p=2550185 I agree with this. I also agree that I think Mourinho would walk here. Not just walk here, but walk over broken glass... Yes, we're s**** at the moment, but 9 months ago we were on the cusp of winning the title. We've been to two ECFs - as he well knows. We're a big club having an aberration - Macca

Well we knew that about Yahya Kirdi. Only Sky seemed to take that seriously. Which goes to show.

Another one bites the dust: Offal Another one bites the dust And another one gone And another one gone Another one bites the dust Nemeth to Olympiakos for 1.2m

Rafa faxed to be kept informed if there is any intention of us selling Kuyt. Which they informed Kuyt about. After Monday's horror show, I think Kuyt's basically said 'I'm interested.' Not exactly coming in to nick our players, is it? We're basically saying that we're open to offers. And the player wants to have the choice.
