    I know the context is us being completely crap for months too. Judging that on its own merits, it was as good as various other games in Spain, Germany, France, Italy over the years. Better than how we played against Napoli when we were unbeatable for example.

    It's actually an important point, even though you're half joking here. He can't seem to adjust to the intensity of the league / keep doing what he was doing before whilst keeping his players fit.

    Yeah it was quite bad when you put it like that. I was really enjoying Torres mind you. I wonder if Slot somehow made it through this season and then mounted a title challenge next season if I’d be a grumbling mealy mouthed a*** hole about it due to this season being so s***. It would be comparable.

    07/08 I suspect it was part of a body of evidence around that time that led a lot of fans to not be on board with the ‘fun’ of 08/09.

    Konate is the biggest problem in terms of incidents leading to goals, but I reckon we would still be having these collective mental collapses even if he’d been dropped. Mac alister is actually having more of a negative impact on our play than ibou. ibou keeps being the trigger for the collapse though.

    Aye me too. The attack wasn’t really the issue anyway. You can’t score 3 goals at Elland Rd and still not win. I know we have once before, famously, but they were decent then.

    Yeah exactly. Dropping macca was a good idea too. Didn’t miss him or Salah at all, neither of them should have come on.

    Dropping Salah was a good idea and it’s worked, pretty much. Dropping Konate would be a good idea but we haven’t bought a senior centre back since the battle of Hastings.

    My a***, it’s because he would have been on the scrap heap after another failure and he wanted to linger around LFC in case the job fell in his lap.
