If they had tried to label an appeal to that judgement as frivolous there would have been uproar.

I doubt very much that it woud have been extended if we had appealed. I don't doubt much that the appeal would have failed. We should have tried though. I was certain we were going to bottle it when the word came out last night that it was "all up to Suarez". That was just to head off accusations that we were hanging him out to dry by our spinelessness.

I don't reckon we did. I think that it was part of our response to the charge we sent to the FA and they chose to put it out for their own purposes.

I imagine that was just our reasoning behind requesting a hearing. The FA probably put it out in their statement in the terms they used as an attempt to paint Luis as unrepentant.
