Player specific remember. Suppose after Rafa has said we are after "wingers". Plural. We get 0 in. Does that mean the owners short changed Rafa? Or the other clubs wouldn't sell at Rafa's evaluation? So you/we may never know just how much "extra" Rafa had but didn't or couldn't spend.

How can what Bascombe said ring true at the time? Since February G&H have said Rafa will have monies for Player specific. Nothing has changed since then. Some interviews have reaffirmed that including the snoop doggy one. Now the fact we haven't spent top money yet changes not one iota of G&H's commitment to Rafa. Rafa evaluates a player, sets his target fee, G&H agree and if the deal is done fine. If not, this does not suggest G&H have ever not backed Rafa or do not want to spend top dollar. As with the Torres deal if AM want 40 mil and we offer 24-27 mil, it wouldn't happen. Still G&H would have backed Rafa's evaluation. Should we have got Bent instead for 16.5 mil people might, no make that would, whinge G&H didn't back Rafa in the Torres deal. Columninst like Bacsombe won't be privvy to how much G&H are willing to spend unless Rafa tells them G&H wouldn't go a couple million extra quid for a player.

Just curious "how" Rafa can make G&H release funds? Afterall both G&H and Rafa have met and Rafa has given the club his targets and what he values them at. How could Rafa make G&H spend money? G&H have said they would fund Rafa on a player by player basis. Seems to me that is exactly what they are doing. The rest is media bs..or supporters over analyzing the situation.
