  1. Well i'm sure Rafa got tired of the questions about Barry today. Much as Ramos yesterday about Berbatov. Ramos has the out of not speaking English so the press have trouble hounding him as much. In the end, I think people are making to much out of how Rafa reacted. If at the end of the transfer season Rafa is "upset" at not getting Barry or A. Nother then maybe there's a problem. or maybe not.
  2. Well it just might be helpfull if SOS clarify what their spokesman has been quoted in The Echo about. Because those are direct quotes by a representative of SOS. Not internet posts in forums from "friends of SOS". Otherwise, like the spade in the ground in 60 days, others will continually bring the issue up about SOS is all about locals. I don't see the issue going away until a firm and direct clarification statement is done. Uncle Bob isn't the only one asking in here nor in some other forums. The opening paragraph of The Echo's article is about tickets away from locals because of the Thomas Cook packages. The facts really are any tickets that Thomas Cook uses for hospitality become unavailable to all supporters who can't or don't want to pay those amounts not just locals. But the theme of The Echo article is all about locals and we know it was staged by SOS to highlight the problem. Instead it now looks like it has become somewhat of a problem for SOS. It looks like Uncle Bob and some others, whilst appearing to be critical, may unintentionally be helping SOS in the long run so future PR exercises are for all supporters which strengthens SOS. my 2p worth for now.
  3. Goal scoring option on the left you say? The same central midfielder Gareth Barry who last season for Villa scored 9 goals. Or did you mean the lad out on the left for us last season Ryan Babel who scored 9 goals?
  4. Has to wait on others because they don't know what the hell he's doing---Benayoun
  5. Been there. Just the Parry meeting announcement which has been posted in here. Nothing there about the next AGM in the events page, or news page. Unless someone can provide a link to the appropriate page. And subsequently, no information on the rest of my questions either. As representative met with Parry, they must have some idea or indication what they want to come back to Parry with in six weeks. Maybe they haven't had time to start the ball rolling yet to get members involved. As i'd like to add my 2p worth on something.
  6. Dribble--Benayoun Pass--Benayoun Score in the final third--Benayoun Play him behind Torres---Benayoun. Got your wish already and didn't even know it.
  7. Positives from last night is that today is a new day. We're still 9th in the current League table. We better win Saturday.
  8. As Parry has given SOS six weeks before the next meeting to come back in writing, what's the plan for SOS from here? When's the next AGM? When and how can idea's be submitted? When will a vote be taken on what to submit to Parry, next AGM, after it, or when? Will this be in the form of a Q&A with Parry? Or will SOS be giving Parry different suggestions of how to solve various issues that SOS have identified? Sounds like we have a chance to really have some input for the club.
  9. Standard were anything but standard. But we should sort this at home. Better do.
  10. A fool and his money are soon parted. Plenty of people get ripped off by touts around the ground every match. We all know that. Been going on for years and years. This scheme is something the club has worked with an official partner. Yes, the pricing is higher than if one does everything themselves arraingment wise and, here's the crucial part, has access to a ticket at face value. If we replaced Thomas Cook with SOS , would SOS then be in favour? Maybe SOS would like the job of being official travel partner of the club and match the dosh Thomas Cook chipped in the be the officially recognized partner of LFC. Could part of the rip off amount be a percentage of what Thomas Cook kicked into the club. Could part of the rip off amount be the percentage the club gets per package? Maybe SOS can investigate and ask Parry what the details of the Thomas Cook package is for the club if SOS wants to compete in the marketplace. That way SOS also raises extra funds for the SOS coffers by being the officially recognized travel partner. In the end, those who knowingly partake of the Thomas Cook offering know that this benefits the club financially more than buying off touts around the ground or through unauthorized packages. They also aren't foolish enough to not know Thomas Cook makes a little something as well. As do the hotels Thomas Cook utilizes.
  11. btw was Ian Ayers in this meeting with Parry and SOS?
  12. Gunga is talking to Parry at 5pm tonight.
  13. Well everyone wants answers. However, very good move to have direct communication.
  14. All of this is true form a onesided perspective. Barry has had a cup of tea with England. Barry only has 2 years left on his contract. Danny Murphy should be valued at 18 mil then because he's played about as much for England as Barry has and he's a holding midfielder as well. Might even be club captain this year as well.
  15. I seem to remember in another thread someone posted that SOS talking to the owners was brought up at a meeting and that is as far as it went. Unless anyone from SOS can update.
  16. It is a little baffling. Understandable when SOS was formed to get the Yanks out. So to have dialog with them is probably a bit to much for the core membership.
  17. Don't have one but if pressed, I voted other and would have Rafa. Best manager we've had in years. Need to keep him.
  18. Never said that did I? Was just an honest question about Keane being the highest individual transfer-----so far. Mabye Berbatov is more, maybe Kaka, who knows. And maybe Tevez --if--it is completed this summer. Beside one can always go back the net spend.
  19. This isn't the only forum this topic is raising discussion and debate about it though is it? Unless all of SOS went on holiday with Thomas Cook.....
  20. But they haven't, have they? So far they are negotiating that deal. And it's not due until january.
  21. If window sales were opened up, is there the potential for touts with multiple fan cards to snap those up? Hence defeating the purpose of locals having first go?
  22. You're right. But is a local wants the package--there it is. But we're arguing the toss over a few tickets not the entire non season ticket sales allotment. If every non ST was a package deal then all hell would break loose. We'd have WWIIIIII and lynchings to boot.
  23. To right. You do earn your stripes that way. But the packages that Thomas Cook offers are available to all. Well priced to be sure but available to all. And does anyone know if there are 5 at that price or 100? And if the tickets did come from the development associations allotment---were locals using those package deals? If not, then is it about taking away from one group to give to another? And now we're back to the day tripper--oot'er argument again.
  24. Well there are two issues. Season tickets and non season tickets. I doubt someone from Norway, Singapore, or the USA is going to want a season ticket and fly over every other weekend. So season tickets tend to be more local and passed on to locals when the ST can't go. Non season tickets which are available to all supporters through variou schemes should remain that way. And, again, someone from Norway, Singapore, or the USA isn't likely to avail themselves of the fan card, PTS, or Belong scheme very often which means that locals again have a better chance at them. Unless i'm missing something.
