It's the Kenny factor I reckon, he's feeling the love
-
Im putting cash on there being 2 or more red cards
-
Brilliant tonight. He's a better finisher than anyone in the squad, better winger, better holding mid (bar Lucas), probably a great keeper too . Just world class.
-
Thing about Stevie is he tends to make the right decision with the ball more often than anyone else in the squad. We've missed his quality big time; fingers crossed he gets a decent run of fitness
-
Yeah, it's this consistency issue Kennys been hammering ever since Fulham, it's the way to go. I think the whole Suarez character assassination issue has to be dealt with extremely carefully by the club though, it's poison
-
What do we want here? I'd love him to get lashed but it may be better for our case if Terry gets off

Thats what I believe happened based on Luis' interview in Uruguay. Sledging goes on all the time and skirts the lines of transgression. The ban isnt deserved IMO - quite apart from the turn of events making it a pr opportunity for the FA and a public character assassination by press - based on the cultural differences between the players. I believe Evra has been slighted this way in his career before. He also has a right to complain, which he should have done during the game to the match officials.
-
Heres my take on how it went down: Luis was tormenting and embarrassing Evra all match, he was also sledging and saw that this word (negro or negrito, common in his own experience) was winding him up. Evra was made to look a dummy by his brilliance all game and afterwards, on consultation with Ferguson, saw an opportunity to lash Suarez technically. His word and the clubs (ie fergusons) weight would be enough for the FA. The thing snowballed out of control, exacerbated by the Rooney appeal and Blatters idiotic remarks. FA see they have a ready made scapegoat in Luis Suarez the world-cup-handball-cheat-headbiter of gutter press infamy. They do their thing. It stinks to high heaven. His only crime is being so brilliant, lesser players get away with relative murder. The club and fans need to play this out very carefully. Luis is no saint so taking the moral high ground wont help. We need to take whatever legal recourse we can to quash or reduce the ban as much as possible. We need to protect the player and his reputation. We need to f***ing paste the mancs at their place.

Totally agree, not worthy of him. dunno why we cant get something going around Louie Louie

That's a little harsh, I'dve thought more of a young Bill Hicks

About time they outlawed cvntishness If that alleged exchange with Marriner is true then surely it's the most pertinent evidence in that it can be corroborated and Marriners statement should provide the context they need to make a judgement.

That's f***ing poxy news about Lucas if true, but I'm reserving my enguttetness til there's an official statement from the club about it. Maybe the thinking is Shelvey can do a job there if needed. It's telling that we're recalling him now, shoring up the CM berths in the light of Lucas and Gerrard being long term crocks. I dread to think how exposed we'd be if Jay picked up an injury too.

Great 2nd half, very unlucky not to win it in the end when city were really rocking. Played like the away team 1st half, quick counter moves break down, then back to soaking up their pressure. I think city are an excellent balanced team, nailed on to win the title, yet I'm gutted we didn't take all 3 points from that game. Adam is improving all the time, great game intelligence, responsible and controlled, he's justifying Kennys belief. Really worried about Downing though, more than the others (Carroll, Henderson), he just looks to me like he doesn't have what it takes to step up and be effective for us
-
He been so assured and confident lately, really great again today
-
Harsh, he did everything right, it was one of Harts many excellent saves Lucas Reina Adam

Nice use of the word "ginormous" in that article, good on you Charlie

Like I say i think Kennys looking for a way to accommodate them both (maybe even at Lucas' expense, especially at home) , be it both of them in the middle, Gerrard on the right, or ahead of Adam and Lucas - it's very much an ongoing experiment that's being delayed by Gerrards injury troubles. All guesswork of course but I feel that Kenny really believes in and trusts Adam so he's gonna be pretty much a constant presence
-
Is it controversial to say that Kenny sees Adam as the creative hub of the team, especially in Gerrards absense, and therefore will be pretty much a definite starter every week? Obviously guessing about Kennys mindset here but I see it that way, and think he's searching for a way to accommodate them both, so the midfield shape til now has appeared vague and uncertain
-
Seems to me be the case that Kenny sees Adam as his creative hub, has decided to shape the play around him in Gerrards absence and is searching for a way to maintain it with Gerrard in the team. Charlie hasn't really supplied the requisite invention, discipline and mobility - there are mitigating factors: he's still bedding in, he's carrying some of Downing and Hendersons water, he just isn't fit enough etc... You see the teams above us equivalents: Silva, Modric, Mata, Cabaye (mancs dont count, they've been found out, Anderson is their Adam, now slur's trying his best player there). Just hope there's the player Kenny thinks he is there yet to emerge, or he changes the approach in his use of the player.
