  1. He was never coming to us and now he's not going to the Mancs. That'll do
  2. Love the way Allen turns away. Nothing to see here ref, no no....
  3. Did Sky get an interview with Sherwood or one of his staff after the game. I switched off a bit after the Brendan interview and they hadn't by then
  4. That's a bloody fantastic picture.
  5. Translation: "f*** you Moyes"
  6. Was great in Doctor Who
  7. Doesn't look like it - mate goes through there regularly and mentioned what looks like the same one as Cymrococh:
  8. Men of Harlech has never been a rugby song.
  9. There's a lot of support for Liverpool, Everton, Man United & to a lesser extent Arsenal in South Wales simply 'cos until recently the Welsh teams have been so s***. Growing up in the 80s, Newport County (who I always went to watch) went bust and had to start again, Cardiff and Swansea weren't exactly nice places to watch football unless you liked fighting - so most watched football on TV and Cardiff/Swansea got a couple of thousand at each game
  10. It was. Losing it
  11. "Bayern Munich - good luck with that" Cracking opening line
  12. Mirror Group's Welsh titles (WalesOnline, Western Mail and Echo) are all f***ing dreadful. Got some truly s*** writers and even their rugby coverage is dire.
  13. "I have this question but first here's my Twitter details" bloke was nuts. Didn't Miss Pushy Riot also say something about being the team previously being called Multiple Scoregasms?
  14. Some good shouts there. Microbrewery is Zero Degrees innit - pposite the WRU shop outside the stadium? If so, Urban Tap House is much better but expensive by Cardiff standards. if you're drinking up Cathedral Road then the Cricketers is also decent. Cafe Citta opposite the Old Arcade on Church Street does excellent pizza, the Grazing Shed does excellent burgers and New York Deli does massive sarnies that will keep you stuffed most of the day.
  15. Disagree with the "poor second half team" comment at the end. Start of the season maybe, but in a lot of games this year we've been able to be in control mode in the second half with the game already well won.
  16. See post 1158
  17. Please tell me this happened Sachin Nakrani ‏@SachinNakrani 6h Liverpool fans not held back at Old Trafford after final whistle. Reports now of a massive conga line down Alex Ferguson Way
  18. Robbie Fowler just used the hashtag #menvmoyes
  19. This is decent http://www.nutjob.eu/
  20. Not that simple though - depends what the cost of the work to enable the 20% increase is
  21. That would explain it - Conn always comes across as pretty balanced on Twitter and has done some excellent Hillsborough stuff. Man City fan I think? Would imagine he's on significant bonuses related to pulling sponsorship in.
  22. It's weird. That article takes on a very different slant to Conn's tweets on it - and he wrote the article.
  23. Here's all of Conn's posts David Conn ‏@david_conn 1m FSG loan to Liverpool of £47m in 2012-13 was to repay a £38m loan taken out to develop stadium plans, and reduce bank debt by £9m. #lfc David Conn ‏@david_conn 12m Liverpool total wage bill 2012-13 (players and staff but players obviously most of it): £132m. Not that massive for Premier League. #lfc David Conn ‏@david_conn 15m One Liverpool director paid £1m (£1,035,000) salary in 2012-13. Presume it is Ian Ayre as he is the only full-time non-FSG director. #lfc David Conn ‏@david_conn 18m Liverpool did make operating profit of £15m in 2012-13; loss of £50m from loss on selling players and writing down players' contracts #lfc David Conn ‏@david_conn 22m Liverpool turnover (income) in 2012-13: £206m. Commercial (sponsors) up to £98m. TV £64m; matchday £45m (tickets not cheap at Anfield) #lfc David Conn ‏@david_conn 28m .@Cfcaway Yes, @John_W_Henry's FSG owners loaned a further £47m to Liverpool on top of £22m they had loaned in previously. #lfc David Conn ‏@david_conn 32m Just looking at Liverpool FC accounts for 2012-13. Quite surprised they made a £50m loss; looking to see why. #lfc This covers 1 June 2012- 31 May 2013 so there's lots of getting rid of the dead wood off the books by the look of it. They seem to have loaned the club money to pay off other loans and you'd hope that these are either interest free or at a rate lower than being paid to the banks.
  24. Sorry - I looked for that before posting my thread.
  25. Great article from the Guardian - incredibly sad story of a former French International who went in for a knee op and hasn't woken up for 32 years. His wife has been caring for him ever since - god knows how she copes. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/feb/27/jean-pierre-adams-footballer-coma
