One big reason why we keep on struggling is our speed in transition from defense to attack. There is where most opponents can be hurt by exploiting the available spaces. Remember al these fine counter attacks during Jürgens reign. Slot likes more controlled based football. He doesnt want to be exposed by our midfield, attack and full backs bombing forward. What you have been seeing all season that when we reposess the ball, we dont play forward with risk. We decide to keep possesion by small triangles in midfield and allowing the opponent to track back and get behind the ball. Result: no space anymore, more difficult to score and easy to defend. This is clearly the instructions of Slot. And of course Trent was a master and delivering the killer pass but now nobody even dares to play a ball. And frankly, there is no possibilty for this pass because we are so slow at our transistion. Thats also a big reason why Salah isnt performing as he used to. He's much easier to defend because of lack of space and disoriented defenders. Everybody is behind the ball.
