We were once one of the most exciting teams to watch football. With 90 minutes of high tempo, pressing, great counterattacks and great football. Never boring or dull at all. Some on the best matches I've ever seen and yes with rose tinted glasses. But everyone around me here in the Netherlands loved to see us play under Klopp. But now, we're a shadow of what we have been. Intensity is gone. And with this, also the excitement to watch us play. There are just so many times each match that players decide to keep it safe and pass backwards or sidewards for the sake of it. Teams have so much time to get back in shape and plugging the holes. With three upfront you need players who beat their man in a 1vs1 on the flanks. But we have Gakpo who keeps cutting inside. Fullbacks who are staying more and more behind. Said it before, but I really miss the heavy metall football we once played.

Jones is ideal for keeping possesion and very strong the ball. But he is no threat at all going forward. The amount of unnecessary passes we play in our build up is criminal. The opposition has so much time to get back in shape and have some tea before we try to get forward. Its the most anti-heavy metall football I've seen us play.

And it is a good point regarding Ekitike. He's more of a player who is a good focus point upfront and likes to hold the ball. Isak just makes different runs and because our wingers are not really dominant anymore, hes not getting any chances because we are easy to defend against. Isak is more of a lone striker upfront with Wirtz behind him. Id play 4231 or 442 with Isak. It would also give us more protection in midfield.

The squad was a unity last season with a lot of them being best mates. Slot broke the team spirit by selling some of them and now benching players who should play because the new guy(s) are s***. Winning games in the beginning covered it up. Now it falls apart and cant be fixed anymore by Arne
