Saw something referring to this but no idea what it was all about.... anyone?!?!

this is another thing i see a lot of lately.. i'm not really having this either to be honest.. we're threadbare all over.. we've got a couple of better players than 12 months ago in Sturridge and Coutinho but other than that i'm not sure this stacks up..

i know not everyone is accepting it mate.. i'm certainly not either.. but you must agree there's a groundswell of opinion that we are where are and it's going to take years to get back amongst it, if we ever will.. i see it loads on twitter when someone has a go at FSG you only have to read the responses they get.. being involved with TAW the likes of you, Neil, Andy etc must see even more of it than the likes of me.. there's a group of about 15 of us go the match.. i'd say 2 or 3 others are curious about FSG.. the rest are 'we are where we are'.. i'm the only one openly moaning about them.. these are lads who have been going for 25/30 years as well, since they were kids.. not newbie's..

hang on a minute.. we may be a year into the 'new' project but FSG have had a project before that didn't work (Commolli) and one that they were going to attempt to put in place but was veto'd by current manager (DoF/Van Gaal).. so this, in a sense, is their third project.. how many more before they start taking it seriously? i've had concerns about FSG for a while.. mates of mine, also season ticket holders, have been happy to give them time and the chance to prove themselves.. they are now starting to ask questions and i think a few others will too.. we must remember though that while some of us marched and protested against G&H there were still some fans who gave us s*** for doing so.. some fans think blind loyalty/ask no questions/trust the owners is the best way forward when really the opposite is true.. we should constantly be questioning committment.. they know all about those sports John.. they're emotionally invested into them as we are Liverpool.. they couldn't walk away from the Red Sox without regret in the same way we as fans couldn't walk away from the match - and despite my concerns re FSG i've still bought my first in-own-name season ticket after waiting for near 20 years for one and i'll continue to do so even if they're here cos its a massive part of my life.. it's nothing but an investment to them.. i believe they're priming us for a sale.. shedding the wage bill.. bigger, better advertising deals.. large sponsorships and hope to make 80m-plus on a sale.. as for what fans may do about it - i still think we're all in that boat where we're not sure about them, which after three years is a bit of a joke.. i think they have enough support to swallow up any serious protesting - f***, there was a time when i there was more people taking photo's outside the sandon than there was of us marching!.. the expectations have been lowered to the extent that fans are accepting 6th place finishes so i think it's going to be a lot harder to mobilise any kind of protests..

The way i look at it FSG had this masterplan: a Commolli, Billy Bean/Moneyball sized plan that no-one in the world had ever thought of and they come in, all guns blazing and spent (too) big to put this masterplan in place. It didn't work as they'd hoped, as we all know. So FSG dispensed with the masterplan and moved on The New Masterplan: transfer committee of boss scouts feeding into the managers needs and philosophy where they all agree on a player. Now, whether FSG like it or not these are their "masterplans". The first didn't work so you would hope the experience of it would have helped them devise The New Masterplan. If it has done so then they need to put trust in it. If they have a budget for a player then they will need to occasionally go outside of this budget if we have identified a player capable of taking us that next step. If they're in the market for players valued at around the 25m-30m mark then they should be well aware others will be too and others will be willing to go the extra million or two to make it happen. By sticking rigidly and not being flexible in their approach we could be on the road to failure. I get the "well we didn't pay for Sigurrdson/Dempsey and that turned out ok" argument but the fact is this is FSG's way, their manager, their men, their strategy/"Masterplan" and if they don't have confidence in it then they may as well not be involved in the game. Which i don't think they will be by 2015 but that's another thread........

We'll win the league... I can't believe people actually start a season not believing we'll win the league! Every season, no matter what, i think this is the year...... after a few games it goes all 'meh' like but at the start you've got to have that hope, no?!

i find it difficult to disagree with your stance on FSG.. i don't think they're in it to win it.. i think they're just going to settle the club down, get it earning money and look to move it on.. i think that will be the case within the next 2 years at least.. not that i blame them, they have no interest in football and shouldn't have really got involved in the first place (though as they seemed like the only decent, non-blagging option - well, other than the whole of China - i'm glad they did).. the problem we have with FSG is quite simple: they have neither the money or the ego to get us challenging for the league.. shame..

saw a kid in the "christmas jumper" away kit the other day and it looked sound... not sure on the 3rd kit though it didnt look that bad on the telly..
