I know a lad who does/did the tours, up until I last saw him about a year ago he was still doing it. Local lad, great fella, hope they haven't got rid of the guides.

The first thing he does on that reel from Sunday is to roll a pass out to someone on our left. And it takes an age to get there. Like a simple pass and the receiver has to check and wait for it into his feet. Like he's playing in sliders.

Agree with you about subbing him off. I remember Kenny taking Andy Carroll off up there and the lad's wretched afternoon got much worse and we weren't improved by the change, it just allowed the abuse to reach a crescendo.

We're not buying FBs this week. We have so much to do, if we did what everyone is asking for this week we'd be writing off the season because too many new faces. We need stability in at least one area of the team, not more change.

Squad building. Arsenal have two players for every position. City and Chelsea have done it for years.

Wirtz has to start dominating games now. Cherki came on for City yesterday and got two assists. That's the sort of output he needs to come up with this season, otherwise I'd show him the door next summer and eat up the loss.

It's a BS reason isn't it, they don't really think that themselves when they brief it, surely. Imagine Paisley saying we won't replace Keegan with Dalglish because it'll hinder Howard Gayle's progress.
