I don’t pretend to know the content of the conversations but: Trent’s representatives were approached formally in January (Klopp leaving time announcement). There had been on and off chats all last year but nothing formal. There are on going and regular meetings No formal offer has been made as (from a club perspective) they want to present one offer that will be accepted rather than an offer that upsets or misaligns expectations. Don’t want to haggle nor create “offer declined!” media commentary. There is a current delay over a particular point (non idea what). Trent has not been involved at all- all with representatives which is seen as a little frustrating by the club. Not major but can’t get a read of his feelings. Standard process really but magnified because it’s not just one high profile player but three simultaneously. I have heard nothing re Mo/Virgil.
