  1. I had a dream the other night that me and my ex were out and we saw some guy getting kicked in by a few kids. I went over to try and help and got shot four times in the back. I remember thinking it didn't hurt that much, just felt very warm.
  2. What about the England cricket team?
  3. He only signed a new deal last summer. We shouldn't give him an improved deal just because someone has enquired about him! Otherwise players will be getting their mates to call the club all the bloody time pretending to be Peter Kenyon!
  4. I expect him to be the best player in the league next year. If he doesn't score ten goals in his first five games then he should be sold and Parry should be sacked.
  5. You needn't apologise to me. I am a fancard holder with one FA Cup credit. Hopefully I'll receive my letter.
  6. That Josemi knows what he's doing.
  7. Cherno Samba will win the league single handedly for us.
  8. How can it be the best ever team, if its only from the last five decades?
  9. Great news mate. I'll wait patiently for my letter then. The trip to a freezing cold Portsmouth has paid off!
  10. This is the position I'm in. Fancard holder with one credit. Just a case of sitting tight and seeing what happens I guess. Ater all, it does say; "After the above sale there will be a remaining balance of tickets and we will be writing to Fan Card holders who have supplied their Fan Card details to the ticket office and have purchased a ticket for a minimum of ONE FA cup match this season to advise them on how the remaining balance will allocated." Anyone know what it means by "who have supplied their Fan Card details to the ticket office" though? Do I actually need to write to them and ask them to keep me up to date or something? Oh, also, there wouldn't happen to be anyone driving up from London with a couple of spaces in the car would there? Petrol money gratefully paid of course.
  11. I'd be surprised if Ronaldo were quicker than Owen. Young Michael's no slouch.
  12. Yep. I'd say he was definitely in the top five.
  13. Rafa hasn't signed many players with 'pace to burn' so far. Really doesn't seem to be his way of doing things.
  14. I would ask you all to please excuse my incorrect spelling of the man's surname in the title of this post. I appreciate that it is an unforgivable sin and one that thoroughly pisses me off when others do it. I also note the distinct sense of irony given my statement that he is an all time legend at the club... I've learned again never to attempt a post on here whilst working!
  15. It sounded to me that from my spot in the pub that Alan Parry said Sami Hyypia has played more games than any other Premiership player this season. Can anyone confirm this? If so, it is some achievement for a player of his age who many suggested was no longer good enough for us. The man is a true Liverpool legend and one of the best signings we've ever made.
  16. Davis' remarks about him being an average player are spot on.
  17. I hope we didn't fail him.
  18. And he's playing for a World Cup place of course.
  19. Yep, in the last minute. Enjoyed that immensely.
  20. Just what I was about to write. The press wrote their stories about Stevie planning to leave because he was. The stories were initially laughed at by all of us, but they were right and we were wrong. It wasn't an anti-Liverpool agenda that led them to write those stories, it was the fact that he was actually considering it.
  21. I found left back really difficult. Was tempted to put Riise in but my team was starting to look like Liverpool with a couple of others. Ashley Cole and Gabriel Heinze are the best two left backs in the country but neither are considered for obvious reasons.
  22. Wow, didn't expect to be public enemy number one... I was simply playing devil's advocate. Wondering if anyone could see the merit in selling our captain as he's most likely to pull in the most money and I've heard it said that Xabi and Momo are a more balanced central midfield. I made it very clear it wasn't my opinion but just thought it would be something interesting to discuss on a football forum... Let's try this one then; what is our best central midfield? Who would you drop from our first choice team if a top right winger comes in?
  23. Oh dear. Just to clarify, I do not think we should sell Steven Gerrard and would be absolutely horrified were it to happen. Simply thought it was an interesting discussion point...
  24. Exactly. Glad someone sees it my way
  25. There is certainly an argument that Alonso and Sissoko is our best midfield partnership. Would we therefore be a better team if we sold Stevie for £35m and got in a top quality right winger and striker? For the record, I don't think we should as Stevie is our best player. However, the question remains that if the eagerly anticipated top right winger arrives, one of Stevie, Xabi or Momo are going to be left out.
