1. Suarez 2. Kuyt 3. Downing

1. Enrique 2. Agger (shows how bad the performance was) 3. Spearing

Bad performance but that **** of a referee has spolied the game - Adam's first yellow (for his first challenge in the game) was a disgrace. We seem to have this every week at the minute. Why we started with Downing on the right I'll never know.
-
This is becoming a joke, if those two challenges equal a red card then every game would end up 6 a-side. Kenny needs to come out and have a right go at the referees - we're constantly and consistently on the wrong end of big decisions and have been for many years.

Great point you make, while I never wanted us to lose under RFH, I didn't really care one way or the other. It's good to be back to normal.

Can't believe that interview. He's a **** of the highest order.

I cannot believe those quotes, it seems Fernando has been very bad;y advised along the way. Its great to finally join a top level club? Jesus, what the **** are we?

**** sake. That rounds off a s*** day.

Exactly, I thought we were very unlucky - Maxi or Torres take any of those chances either side of half time and the result is very different.

The one I liked the most today was after 80 minutes - Rooney knocked the ball out and dived to get a free kick. He knew it was a bad dive so held his hand up to apologie only to see Webb had given him the free kick. He even laughed when he saw the decision. One of the most one-sided refereeing performances over 90 minutes that I have evr seen today. Dreadful

Good post. And maybe playing players out of position and ignoring better options on the bench.

What a dreadful night. Crying out for changes at half-time and nothing. Insua was awful, he seems to struggle to defend, a small problem for a left back. That centre-back pairing is dreadful, they are so scared of pace and anyone running at them it is scary. Gerrard, Maxi, Kuyt, Torres, Benayoun and Lucas were awful. At least Kuyt and Benayoun have contributed this season though - and Torres is still coming back from injury. We were crying out for Riera and Babel but Rafa simply doesn't play Babel and then decided to play Maxi on the left?! We've no chance of 4th - no chance - and we'll be lucky to get 6th. And no, this is not a quick reaction to a defeat, we've been dreadful as a team for months. When is the last time we played well? I'm really really worried about where the club goes from here.

I've no real problem with the game being called off but I do feel sorry for the people who had travel booked. What annoys me more than anything else is that the lead news story on the official site is encouraging people to come to Anfield tomorrow and enjoy the stadium tour. Surely if they were concerned with safety then the stadium tour would be closed and they wouldn't be trying to make money from fans who are in Liverpool for the game anyway. Yes, I know it will be a lot less than 45,000 but if it's not safe then they shouldn't try and take advantage of our fans...........................

Probably the worst penalty decision (or non-penalty decision) I have ever seen. I was sat in the Main Stand near the Kop end and it looked one of the clearest fouls of the day from 120 yards away. Doesn't matter where the ball is as a centre half clears the ball and a striker clatters him late it's still a foul even if the ball is miles away by then. Dreadful decision. Dreadful referee. Doesn't excuse our 2nd half performance - and the crowd has some responsibility there as well - including the ***** who go home 15 minutes early but Webb is very very poor.

I'll be gutted if Barry and Keane are our transfer targets this year. It's debatable whether Barry is better than Alonso and as for Keane, can you really see Chelski, Utd or Arsenal signing him? Of course they wouldn't...........he's not good enough. If a lot of our fans weren't blinded by 'Irishness' they'd know that as well.

psl - good post. I definitely think we're stronger than at any time since the early 90s but we definitely need Rafa to stay With a little bit of added quality at full back and out wide I think we can challenge next year. Through the middle we're as strong as anyone. One point though that baffles me - for such a fantastic manager that Rafa is - he makes some very strange/poor substitutions and has done right since 2004 (even the subs in Istanbul were stumbled upon) - I'm not talking about tonight specifically (Torres and Skrtel were enforced anyway) but in general I think Rafa needs a strong assistant to read the game with him - Sammy Lee anyone?

Skrtel Gerrard Kuyt

Agree with a few of the others - Torres and 2 others to make up the numbers. Where was the passion and fight? Don't agree that Reina had a good game - yes he made a couple of good saves but he also cost us two goals particularly the all important first one. 1. Torres 2. Alonso 3. Aurelio
-
Aurelio Carra Benayoun
