cos not many clubs release a 16 year old for £15 mill..... the deals gotta be right I guess... If Southampton play it clever they could seriosuly be quids in for a long time to come..
-
he obviously wants to go to Arsenal... I really don't know where all this 'wants to go to Liverpool' stuff is coming from... We haven't got the money to blow on a promising youngster... amazes me how delusional some people are... that the record transfer coming from our club would be for a 16 year old.

not bad business from Everton.... didn't they pay £500,000 for him? and he had a pretty good first season with them.. Beeb Charlton agree £2.5m fee for Bent Bent player statistics Charlton Athletic are poised to sign Everton striker Marcus Bent after they agreed a £2.5m deal. Boss Alan Curbishley is a long-term admirer of the 27-year-old, and moved again for him after agreeing to sell Jason Euell to Birmingham. Bent has not been an Everton regular this season, despite David Moyes' side struggling in the Premiership. Manchester City had also shown an interest, but the Hammersmith-born star is keen to return to London. Bent has rarely been seen in regular action since James Beattie arrived at Everton and has scored only once this season. If Bent completes his move to The Valley, Charlton would be the ninth club in 10 years for the much-travelled star who started out as a Brentford trainee. Everton boss Moyes will then turn his attention to landing a striker, with veteran Duncan Ferguson also being linked with a move to Portsmouth.

sad state of affairs... he would have been perfect for us -
I couldn't believe how short he was... I always thought he was tall.

I was made up with Mori's contribution today.... he really has gotten involved in the physical side of the game over here. He was runnign back and winning tackles, linking up between midfield and strikers well... You can never doubt the effort he puts in... but a totally different player to Owen.. Cisse on the other hand.... today Spurs players were playing piggy in the middle with him and he couldn't even be arsed trying to win the ball.

in the summer I was gutted we didn't get him.... but little did I realise how many goals we would score from midfield... I hope he stays at Newcastle... it would be great if this clause that we talk about existed and we didn't even bother taking advantage of it... leaving him there to rue his missed opportunities.. Good luck to him, I hate to see him get injured, but Liverpool are a better team without him..

thought Dawson was really poor.... weren't we considering him at one point a couple of years back? he seemed lost. Mido going on his a*** down by the away fans and sitting on the ball and rolling it out for a goal kick was hilarious.. the look on the Spurs fans faces was a picture.... he was the most threatening striker for them today though..
-
agree Kev.... Robinson got a great reception and they way he responded was first class, I very much admire him... he seemed to acknowledge every block in the Kop with a personal round of applause. onto the atmosphere.... the Spurs fans were very loud.... I was sat near the dugout. Hats off to them, they didn't stop singing until Kewell scored, then they stopped for two minutes and started again.... it tailed off toward the end, but they were the loudest I have heard in the PL this season.. Once again our fans were not to be heard, apart from one good rendition of 'in istanbul' and 'FOAR'.... its pretty embarassing really.... we accuse players of being 'big game players', I think the majority of our fans are 'big game fans'....

same here, alot of the guys here would be proud to knock out something like that.... My only comment would be the position of the flame... seems a little unbalanced... maybe if it had one on both sides of the Liver Bird. Powerful Image, and I like the space left available for the 6th trophy

great minds eh?

Chelsea could be on a collision course with Ghana over Michael Essien's quicker than expected return to fitness. (Daily Star) what did we all say?

RedCafe is buzzing at the moment... they are saying stuff like 'at least we didn't concede three against a relegation side' nah you didn't concede, you were held by a team full of spirit and passion, something that current side hasn't got, and something that the Glazers can't write a cheque for. they should be ashamed, no matter how well Burton played, Man Utd now have a re-play, which sill do wonders for Burton but the last thing the Mancs need is another game to play in their already full schedule, what with the Champions Leag..... oops... hang on, is the replay the Wednesday before we play them at their ground?
