    If it’s anything like Wednesday then it’s him and Wirtz being nominally out wide but coming inside to be tucked in behind the striker (Gakpo). Kerkez and Frimpong providing the width.

    Was a good night for him last night. If that was a snapshot of what the original plan was for our style of play with the new players slotted in then I'm onboard with it.

    Was really good tonight. I think Gomez helped him as well. Joe is better on the ball than Konate. It meant Frimpong could take up more advanced positions and Gomez backed himself to either make the pass or play it into midfield. Konate can get a bit more flustered and end up either playing it safe or giving it away.

    Go with the same team again. Most balanced we’ve looked all season.

    What I would say, is that his presence upfront worries defenders and also gave Frimpong loads of space to attack down the right.

    Frimpong has been great. Strong in defence and constantly supporting the attacks.
