  1. So glad it won’t be Ljinders. He may be decent tactically but talks more s***e than David O’Leary. No thanks to Das Boot room. Imagine trying to be the fella replacing Klopp here. On one hand we have a very good squad for someone to take on. but the reality is you are coming into a job where you can only ever be worse than the last guy.
  2. Got to be Xabi. Hopefully not too early for him.
  3. Truly devastated. This must be how it felt when Shankly quit. Incredibly an even better man than he is a football manager.
  4. I give him enough s***e so only fair to say when he’s done well. Opening goal a couple of times recently now. Fair play.
  5. Got to be honest and say I’d have sold him ages ago. I never thought he’d become the player he is now or is on the way to becoming. Fair play to him.
  6. He is an utterly s***e goalscorer isn’t he? Have we had a striker who has played for in the last thirty years who was a less accomplisher finisher than he is? Absolutely haunting in front of goal and generally clunky with a s***e first touch. Despite that he’s effective in his own way, particularly with someone as good as Salah taking the goalscoring burden off him. If we win trophies this season he’ll have earned his medals but I do hope we have people at the club putting a plan together, you know just in case he doesn’t explode like every nerd on RAWK says he will.
  7. When are we winning the title? ”It’s gonna be May”
  8. Just no connection between his brain and his feet.
  9. He started off excellently. Not sure what has happened to him.
  10. It’s right up there with having your dad kidnapped.
  11. Can never have a relaxing two goal cushion can we?
  12. We should have rolled the clock back and had Jurgen hold up his empty shirt on the pitch as if it was a signing. And then found the kid in who burned Gerrard's shirt and had him redeem himself by torching Lovren's. Who he's shown himself to be since leaving makes me sad I didn't hate him more when he was here, the useless thick t*** that he is. Le Tissier without any of the actual footballing ability. I'd like to see those two and Rickie Lambert fight to the death. With the winner getting the death penalty. Overall I'm somewhat on the fence.
  13. Halfway and we lead. I’m finding it all quite bemusing. The performances have often felt more miss than hit and yet we are top and arguably should be unbeaten with at least a couple more points. If we pick up points without Salah and City don’t go on their standard fifty point second half of the season we have a decent chance.
  14. I went to that pre-season friendly against Dortmund at Anfield just after ge signed and was banging on (Gary Neville style) about how incredibly pro-active Lovren was as a defender. Lovely to have or so I thought. Of course I didn't realise it would include proactively running out of defence and managing to completely miss the header at Spurs that day, amongst other proactively s***e things.
  15. You're going to have to be extra clear when making wishes two at a time. You'll be in for a shock if Margot Robbie turns up playing centre midfield for us.......
  16. This feels like the appropriate time for me to congratulate Darwin Nunez. Both for his goal and for also for ousting Fabio Carvalho from the December Calendar Spot for 2024.
  17. Looks absolutely Friesian at Anfield.
  18. Arsenal have been a better side than us for 18 months. We’ve been unconvincing for most of the season and have done well to grind results out. Their position in the league looks a truer reflection than ours, even if they lack a couple of absolute world beaters like Ali and Mo. A better ‘team’ for the most part anyway.
  19. Hits the post.
  20. The man who barely saves anything and the man who rarely scores anything. Imagine them facing off in training. Make me eat my words lads.
  21. Looks like yesterday was the day the goodwill well truly ran dry, at least on here. Not that Salah has been particularly great himself recently but Nunez better ready himself for AFCON because what’s expected of him is going to feel quite different.
  22. There were genuine reasons to be hopeful with him last season but it’s 18 months now. You can get away with being raw with promise when you are settling in a new league. But you don’t become a proper goalscorer in this league when you’re thick as mince and crap in front of goal though.
  23. We’ve had an almost unbroken like of exceptional strikers/forwards for decades. Amazing that we’ve barely been without someone at the very top other than a year or so here and there. Mane, Firmino and Salah up there with the best of them in recent years. I think we are in real trouble when Salah leaves though. Diaz, Gakpo and Nunez are easily a level or three below them. Jota better than those thankfully but not elite. We have an £85 odd million ‘cult hero’ who can’t finish or stay onside. I would love to be reading this back in twelve months if he’s learnt to kick it in the goal thing who is genuinely expecting it?
  24. I am kind of baffled that we are where we are. For large parts of many games this season we have been quite poor. Great habit to get in to of course and we arguably could/should even be three points better off which is mad. Some of Jurgen’s best Liverpool sides would walk this league.
