It might be my irrational hatred of Mignolet but I still believe that hesitation is because he’s expecting the keeper to claim that cross and/or waiting for a call from the keeper. A defender doesn’t do what he did there so I’ll put the blame on Mignolet.

He would probably had a much better career if it wasn't for some pretty serious mental issues (depression) and a very difficult family (mostly his mom) that affected him while he stayed with LFC and later. His mom acted more like a footballers wife rather than a mom, she kept bringing people of various sorts home to him and there was drug use in his home. She also pressured him into spending way above his limit causing him stress which made the depression worse. It wasn't until his girlfriend realised he was seriously considering suicide that he got the treatment he needed (when he was contracted to NY Red Bulls). He's probably a good example of how little we know about the non-football part of a footballers development.

I'm in no way a medical professional but could this be plantar fasciitis? If so he'll be in and out of the team for a long time (mostly out).

Ignoring the utterly horrific performances of late the club should always be striving to improve every position at the club. At the moment both Ancelotti and Klopp are out of a job. FSG are incompetent owners if they don't do pretty much anything to get either of those two in as manager. Irrespective of the last few performances.

At first I was thinking about writing a long rant filled with words that would be *'d out by the forum software. Then I started writing a long post trying to explain the issue the club has. But I'm so unbelievably disappointed right now that I'll just say the following. 1) Ian Ayre and the committee are a good example of the Peter's principle. 2) Successful businessmen should be able to spot problems like that and the longer they don't fix it the more I doubt they are taking their "ownership" of the club serious enough.
