don't see the point in slagging him off though - no-one's suggesting he's the answer to our striking problems next year did us no harm playing him yesterday, and will do us no harm playing him in the league if/when 3rd is secured
if they decide to buy him at that price, then it means they think that's the best way to improve their sqaud with their current budget I think their manager may have thought it through
you need more than one good player in each position, and Scholes will need to be replaced at some point anyway price is irrelevant if they can afford it. As Cobs says, he'll improve them - and that's all that matters
