  3. You got it! Thankfully my office is out of the centre and I live miles away, but sometimes I HAVE to go for beers after work in town. Its tough I tells ya
  4. Having being to that god awful place, and knowing the interior like, those photos are pretty genuine. Feel sorry for the poor sods, its a bit of a hole. Still they didn't know any better, but this is a warning for all you guys coming down to Reading for the away fixture next year, AVOID

  6. Bit strong that! That "Devious Little Traitor" is one of the clubs all time top goalscorers and deserves a little respect (no matter how small) And stop being so antagonistic. It does not matter when someone started following the club, I myself have supported Liverpool since the early 80's and can look past Owens recent selfishness and can reflect on the good times he gave us... maybe you should too.
  7. apologies for being obtuse, but what would you say are the fundamental difficulties..... injuries aside?
  8. Not so long back (during his barren spell), I had a heated discussion with my best mate about Crouch, he maintained that he was one of the worst players in the premiership and he would not score more than 10 goals for Liverpool. I've always respected my mates opinion on football even though he is a member at Chelsea. He would always pick out the best/worst players in a side, even his own, and is very accepting of Romans millions playing their massive role in Chelseas rise to power. So I found it disappointing that he thought this... as it kind of lumped him in with the rest of the ignorant s**ts who had no idea. Anyway, 6 months on, I have taken so much pleasure in winding my mate up everytime Crouch moves up a gear. Upon scoring his hatrick on Saturday, I received a txt.. "I always said that crouchy was a good player" a joke of course, but I think it highlights just how Crouch has turned the publics perception of him. By ignoring his detractors in the stands and the press, getting his head down and putting in the performances that he is now getting the recognition we all knew he should get. Well done Peter Crouch, I salute you sir
  9. It's basically a copy of what Kaka does. I thought I read it on here that it has some religious significance, pointing to god or some think like that.

  14. And you sir, are an idiot for really believing that. There I said it. Salvation
  15. Thats not really true and you know it. Great as Stevie is, Ronaldinho is currently the best player on the planet. Ronaldinho, Henry, Gerrard.... The three best players in the world at this moment in time. If he is not recognised in the world player awards next time round over Lamphead, then all is not right with life. Having said that, we all know he's one of the greatest players of all time, who cares whatever anyone else thinks We've got Steven Gerrard, We've got Steven Gerrard... nah, nah, nah, naaa, nah, nah, nah, naaa
  16. Against my better judgement I went there after work last night. First time in the Madejski, not bad little stadium I thought, fair distance from town centre though. Hoped it would be decent, but as i thought, the atmosphere and quality of football was worse than an England Friendly. None of the players due to play played, and we were sat amongst a bunch of adolescent muppets chanting 'Ingerlund (Clap three times, repeat)' and taking part in mexican waves all the time. Was utterly depressing and would of been a waste of money had it not been for charity.... Then Boris came on and made my day, even managed to get a few songs going for him, funniest thing I've seen at a footie match in years

  25. About time..... Fifa is to use match suspensions, points deductions and disqualification from competitions as possible punishments against acts of racism. Clubs face being deducted three points for a first offence, six for a second and relegation for further offences. Member associations failing to implement them face being banned from international football for two years. "Recent events have demonstrated there is a need for concerted action," said Fifa president Sepp Blatter. "I have repeatedly stressed Fifa's and my firm personal stance against racism and discrimination." And he pledged "more severe measures to be adopted in order to kick this evil out of the beautiful game". Cameroon international and Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o has been a victim of persistent racial abuse in La Liga. He recently had to be stopped from walking off the pitch after receiving abuse during a game against Real Zaragoza. Manchester United striker Rio Ferdinand also recently stated football's authorities had to take a tougher stance against the problem. French international Lilian Thuram gave a testimony to the Fifa meeting on Thursday. Fifa spokesman Andreas Herren said: "The new rules take effect essentially as soon as we can notify the associations by way of a letter. "It's not going to take a long time. It applies to all competitions throughout the world at any level. All matches of all types are covered." Think this has been far too long in coming, hopefully no more pathetic £4000 fines
