I never felt Carra's hoofs was a big problem myself. Don't think he hits them more or worse than many of the other players. What does disturb me though is when he just stands over the ball, nudges it with the sole of his boot then waits a bit more as if there's absolutely nobody to pass when clearly there is. Hardly the reason why we're playing poorly right now, just annoys the hell out of me. Really slows down our attacking on numerous occasions. May I also take this opportunity to pay homage to the one player this season who have performed at a constant high level for every game this season, Pepe Reina. Don't think he has cost us a single goal this season (although my memory notoriously goldfishesque). He always stays focussed for 90 mins, including yesterday where I thought his throws/kicks where our best attacking threat during the game. Whenever he goes for a ball he gets it away or catches it one way or another and can pull out a terrific save after not having touched the ball for a half an hour. Player of the season so far for me, by a mile.

Come one lads. Let's show them what we're all about in the 2nd half. Some positive football and positive thinking and we'll whack them.

Can't keep possession on the attacking half. Whenever we did for a bit things looked as if though we might be able to create something. Gerrard and Alonso to blame? Also our entire left-side looked bleak. Aurelio and Kewell have had a poor first half. Finnan and Benayoun slightly better but hardly impressive. Reina deffo our best performer so far.

Babel according to me is a forward. In all the games he has started he's been a wide midfielder which I don't think is his best position. Often when he has come on he has had a more advanced position and has done a lot better. It would be more beneficial to the team if we played him in his more favoured position. As opposed to having less talented players there like Crouch, Kuyt, Voronin. (not sure this was entirely on-topic but I just felt had to say this, again)

yup, Rafa says on the official that a deal is coming up. Which is nice.

What ever happened to Huckerby? Used to be the next big thing. He must be over 30 by now
