  1. I’ve been reading the fans’ comments in the Guardian. One Tottenham supporter wants to know whether a Liverpool team in which every player was at Bradley’s level would beat Tottenham’s first-choice XI. I’m not registered to leave comments in the Guardian but if you are, you know what to do.
  2. Konaté has been doing that ever since he arrived here.
  3. Handball by the man who knocked it down for him?
  4. Atalanta will do a job on Barcelona.
  5. We can win the lot without him.
  6. Seriously now, this story emerges the evening before the transfer window opens. It’s very obviously been well-rehearsed between TAA, his agent and Real Madrid. He’s gone. I hate the fact that this is already getting into our heads so much. Instead of Sunday’s match we’re all talking about a soon-to-be former player. As I asked earlier, any idea when Bradley is due back? If Real are willing to pay something now, take whatever money we can, get TAA out of the door and pay attention to what should be a great few months on the pitch.
  7. When’s he likely to be ready to play again? I’d like us to take whatever money we can for TAA and have the distraction off our hands.
  8. I thought West Ham were abject the other night and then I saw that they were above Man U in the table. So I watched United against Newcastle last night and loved it as Gary Neville admitted that ‘pound for pound they are the worst team in the league’. He was right. In the first half they made West Ham look good. However, this offers me no comfort at all. I have exactly the same dread as I always have before we play them. On current form it should be the easiest three points of the season … but … but … oh god.
  9. That’s not my memory of the Boleyn at all. I lived in London from 82-86 and used to travel there from Brixton. No colours on show, absolute silence between tube station and ground, staring into middle distance to ensure no eye contact, sigh of relief when I was among our own then all done in reverse after the match. Only ground I hated more was Goodison.
  10. Harvey Elliott should not be allowed to play for LFC with that haircut.
  11. He's looked short of confidence all season. Hardly surprising, given Slot’s brutal decision in that very first game. However, I think the last three games have made me realize (even more) how important Ibou is.
  12. Until this happened I was full of confidence. Suddenly feel very, very anxious.
  13. That was one of two around that time where he put his hand out to drag someone back and changed his mind just in time. I thought he was going to be sent off. Not sure our manager would have been very happy. He seems to expect footballers to have brains.
  14. Darwin has to be taken off before he’s sent off.
  15. Virgil needs to buck up his ideas.
  16. Sadly I’m old enough to recall Chris Lawler scoring on his England debut.
  17. Gomez is great but Konaté is greater.
  18. Thiago was used up before us.
  19. That diving header.
  20. Some premier club will really need/be desperate enough to pay what it takes. Sure, it will not be Saudi Arabians offering £150m, but someone will see him as worth a big fee. He’s way too good for them.
  21. I guess there will be many fans of other clubs who don’t know much about Liverpool’s reserve keeper but, on the odd occasion they see him (for Ireland or against their team when Alisson’s out), they are amazed that he’s a back-up keeper. I think he’ll go for very big money for a goalie. I’m sorry in a way; I agree that, considering the whole world knows we’ve needed to do something serious about central midfield for two years, the purchase/loan back of a keeper wouldn’t be a priority, given Kelleher’s proven ability.
  22. Kyay-za. Chel-see. Nothing like.
