  1. SACK ANSARI
  2. Deffo, Vieira is the perfect example of how Sissoko could develop his attackign game. His passing's not as good as Vieira's though, he was always able to use the ball well. (And always played alongside another holding player with an eye for a pass, the distinctly no-as-good-as-Xabi Petit)
  3. We'll use Sossoko, Alonso and Gerrard as the central 3 in a 3-5-2 more and more often, I reckon.
  4. I think Kuyt's been ace in terms of workrate and link play, but criticism of his finishign is fair enough - he's missed a hatful of chances of late. We've won the games confortably, but it worries me slightly that he's missed so many. (I still think back to the one that smacked the bar against Chelsea, if he'd scored that, I'm convinced we'd be top of the table now)
  5. Heh. Quality. "Altraorism", even...
  6. http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/sport/2006/12/..._move_that.html
  7. You honour, we plan to use what we call "The David May Defense".
  8. Heh. I thought the same. I have this weird mixture of fondness and sympathy for Djimi. "Good old Djimi, the poor gimp" sort of thing.
  9. I dunno, I reckon Frank Lampard would look great with a nice Habano shiner. Times article at the time claimed they were hoping to get £12M for Carrick, when United hit them with the £18M offer.
  10. When is Eto'o fit again? ("Never" would be a good answer)
  11. fyds - go to http://www.imageshack.us/, hit the "Browse button", select your pic and it'll opload it for free, and give you links, etc.
  12. It seems (and maybe it's just the pic) that the stands aren't very steep. I liek the idea of all the fans being right up close, whereas the pic seems to show the back of the stands being a logn way from the pitch. Anyoen know how it compared to the stands at Anfield currently? Steeper? Is this limited by new safety regs, etc?
  13. Got a link/pic of the stadium?
  14. He can be a direct replacement for Kewell.
  15. Judging by this, the fact that Gerrard, Benitez and others have already met DIC. and all the positive sounds, i'd say this takeover is very, very close to being complete. Times Article
  16. All seems fairly positive, this. Guardian link Echo Link
  17. He has a still-shiny UEFA cup medal, I reckon he'd cope just fine in Europe.
  18. Alves is fast becoming a galactico - he's tearing the Spanish leage apart. I cant see him getting any cheaper.
  19. Why would they do that, when buying aslves means they can stick an oar into our bisiness aswell? There's every chance they'll buy them both, because they can.
  20. Being a diving, cheating, elbowing little c***, is all. But that's plenty. He scored a goal against us. Which makes him a c*** in my book.
  21. David Dein, Wenger, van Persie, Eboue, Henry, Lehmann, Fabregas, Ashley Cole, Pires, Vieira, the list is ENDLESS.
  22. It's an Arsenal prerequisite. You'd do well to identify anyone with even a passing invovlement with Arsenal that doesn't tick those boxes.
  23. I wonder if Giles Barnes will be that midfielder - anyone seen much of him? I liek the idea of the fourth man for a position being a younger player, a young striker pushing for his spot and working his way into the team, ditto a young central midfielder and a oung centre half.
  24. The Premiership is littered with them, though - Pennant, Volz, Bentley - even their failures end up in the Premiership.
  25. I loved Henchoz. He used throw himself in front of everything. You can argue all you liek about technical ability, etc, but he gave everything for us.
