Kev, I saiad the same thing was mine a good point too ? I think testimonials should be at the beginning of the season not the end, then if people want to see glorified training sessions then money goes to a good cause (If palyesr are a good cause). These games could replace the friendlies.

I have just watched a programme about Heysel, it was on late one night during the World Cup. It was very interesting and jogged my memory (I was 16 at the time), as to how it was a whole catalogue of events that caused the problems, and only a small part of it was down to Liverpool Fans. The programme had Brucie and the LFC chief bodyguard of the time in it, as well as the guy who served a few years for manslaughter going back to the ground, I can't remember his name, but he is now a lifeguard. A lot of Italians were interviewed (who went to the 'game')and they didn't seem to hold Liverpool fans guilty either. This was probably on TV in England years ago, but if not and if anyone would like a copy I can burn one and send it over. Also for any Aussies who missed it I can help out. Cheers

I have not got excited about England, I want the LFC players to do well for them but that is it (I am English BTW). The thought of Beckham lifting the World Cup makes me sick, images of seeing him with the cup for the next 40 years is not worth contemplating. If Nevilel and Beckham were injured and/or suspended and we were in the final and Owen or Stevie G were captain I may want us to win it!!!! Australia are playing tonight, and I have lived here for 2 and a half years, I want them to lose every cricket match with a passion, but I really want the sheilaroos to do well in Germny. Kev, do you think like I do that we may actaully change our strategy slightly and decide to blow more money on one striker and keep the likes of FSP as back up. Other thoughts crossing my mind. Will ALT change his mind and stay, but that would depend on Rafa wanting him, if he got told he was in Rafas plans he may stay. If those 2 did stay we would then have them, Robbie, Cisse, Crouch plus a.n.other who replaces Nando which is actually a lot of forwards. I think a lot may come down to what styles we use over the season. If we stay 4-4-2 every game we will need a lot of forwards as we like to rotate, but if he uses 4-4-1-1 we wont need as many as the likes of Garcia, Kewell and Stevie will move around......so many options andd none of us have a clue what will happen!!!

It all depends on how long ago we actually did a back plan that we can restore from. If Parry is as useless as some on here say, we may be going back to a plan Peter Robinson had in place when signing Kenny..... It may all mean one thing...Sack PARRY!!!
