I think the no brainer part is the fact he is a proven goal scorer in the premier League, and is better than the other names being talked about. Stevie always says he wants him back and I thoughtg we were building a team around him so lets get him back!

I am not overly excited by Defoe but I think he could do a job. I think it was Souness who said 'every signing is a huge gamble, you never know if it will work out' - for that I think he is spot on. Defoe may be a great signing or a waste of money. Nando proved the point, we were all happy he would be a success, but he wasn't. I would still prefer MO to come back though.

I was going to but they wouldnt let me in the ground with the tools. I hear a few of our fans relocated their seats at OT at the semi!! Seriously, I did move from one part of the Main Stand to another, and they did it no problem, it was about 6 years ago. I used to sit next to loads of corporates (mainly supported the opposition and/or arrived late, went early to h/t etc) amd were a pain to sit with. The ticket office agreed with me and I got a great seat very central.

Back to Rafa's contract, what differnce does it make what length of contract he has? When has a managers contract ever run out and he has walked away...no such thing as a Bosman when you are managing. To me the only difference is that the shorter the contrcat the less you have to pay them when thay are sacked, or the more compo you get when they go elsewhere. But while Rafa ais happy with us we have nothing to fear. But maybe I am missing something.

I hope more players go thsi season, but mainly the ones who were out on loan. Forget the financial side of it, but it must help Rafa plan if he knows excatly who he is working with. We must have the highest number of players out on loan out of any club ever. I was never an anti GH man, but whilst he did buy some very very good players, he also bought a load of rubbish who just linger!!!

Defoe has had a poor season, is part of that though as he has been unsettled, with constant talk of him leaving? Spurs have been rumoured to be sniffing around Cisse in the past so who knows if he is part of any deal. Defoe is not the world's best but if he WANTS to play for us I wouldn't mind having him and Robbie as third strikers with Crouch and another one to make a decent quartet.

Not being a ref I may be totally wrong, but I would think they are all concentrating so hard (dont laugh!!!), that they actually are not thinking of who they are whistling for, they see a foul and give it. It all happens to quickly for them to think oh thats a foul on so and so, I like the guy comiting it so will wave play on.

You could get a ref from the midlands that is an Everton fan......I honestly think that all top referres are impartial when they walk out on the pitch.

What went on is wrong, but also so much web space given to it is as well, it gives others ideas as to what they can do the next time we are at OT!!! By us not highlighting it may stop it gettimng worse (as it has in the past few years).

The Celtic Club will be showing it, they show ALL (whatever time) of our games that are on TV. When I was in Melbourne I went to the games there, the recent derby had over 100 packed in. No cover charge for our games either. Have fun...... BTW I will soon (well next season) have a website based for all footy fans in Aus, stating what games are on TV, where you can watch them etc, there will also be an online shop fo rall footy stuff for us down here....watch this space and do you think it will be popuar?

I thought that we were still singing the song after Smith had been stretchered off, and I thought it was a bit out of order - even though I hate Smith and the rest of the Mancs. But then again I could see how bad the injury was as I saw it on TV, perhaps those in the KOP didnt know exactly and didn't see Smith taking Oxygen from the stretcher. Had it been Neville would we have applauded him off - proabbaly but I bet there would have been 30,000 quite happy at the same time :-)

Every league game that is on Sky is on Fox Sports plus they have one of the 3-00pm sat games on as well, often us. Some FA Cup games are on ESPN (The game on Saturday is) SBS (Freee to air), show one live CL game from the Tuesday and Wednesday as do ESPN, ESPN also have another full game as live after the the live one finishes. I am not sure if the Benfica game is on ESPN yet, but it is not on SBS. Hope this helps
