We've won nothing (in the generation of a lot of these players),, weren't in the CL, and for a time were managed by people no-one cared about or wanted to know - of course it was easier to entice players away from that to a club with concrete successes

That's completely arbitrary, net spend. We need to support Klopp, and Klopp's vision of a squad, whether or not we benefit from getting rid of over-priced mercenaries is utterly irrelevant to that.

there's only one player I can think of he signed that then left chasing the money; you can't shoot mercenary players, there'll always be some.

Klopp wants players that want to play for this club. The more this team becomes a Klopp team the less of that mercenary stuff I think we'll see.

I think not judging him by bizarre standards might help, like saving perfectly placed shots into the corner, and letting a few matches pass where he gets to play behind a proper CB partnership.
