Fantasy stuff aside, I don't think we'd see Rafa going mad. I think it would be a case of him being able to spend if the right players came along rather than him signing up loads of big names willy nilly ala Chelsea.

Serves him right. Should have stayed at Col U, they were playing good football under him. Having said that, they still are. New stadium looks like it's set to be impressive too, which is good because Layer Road is the worst football ground I've ever been to.

To be fair, and without playing down Bellamy's excellent performance, he was up against a 35 year old centre half who wasn't even quick in his younger years, and also Wigan's defence were playing very high up the pitch.

Because the team is playing in a different way and Pennant is also club footed, yet not actually able to run fast, cross, or kick a ball hard. Peter Crouch is actually good though and no WUM's are trying to say that he is the answer to our current problem.

This whole thread is ridiculous. Djibril Cisse was a club footed fool who couldn't trap a bag of cement, had very little positioning sense, wasn't a great finisher, and stood around the pitch whining. He wasn't a winner, all he had was being able to run very very fast indeed and kick a football really hard.

Didn't he do that last year? He was way off the mark for the first 10 games or so and then started becoming the old Alonso again.
