There's no bigger indictment of Richard Hughes handsomely rewarded time at the club than this being the stage in the rebuild where we are strapped for cash and there will be no more players. What a grade A c***.

Ok mate.

You said we need a midfielder who can thread a pass. That's meant to be Wirtz

A poor man's Nigel Clough

What's Wirtz on the pitch for if he's not doing this.

The hit we are going to have to take to offload Wirtz and Isak will be massive. Probably half price the pair of them. It's best to do it sooner rather than later though.

Don't even need to replace Jones. The sooner Hughes goes, and whoever on the board recruited him and Edwards, the better. It's been a disastrous experiment.

Don't attempt that shot Kerkez

Back 4 looks stronger than we've had for a while.

Just seen Hull City have beat Man Utd. The interview of Carrick post match is interesting. Comes across as very flat. Not angry or anything, just a bit uninspiring. I guess he's always like that but how long before their fans turn on him

I'm sure I read something on here, that said he has started training early and looks like he means business.

We don't even know if anyone has tried. It rarely feels like there's any joined up thinking at the club. Like each day in the office must feel like a completely new set of circumstances without antecedent. Just walking into the office with a coffee, and looking at the computer like it's day one of working at a football club and you are too shy to ask any questions.

I like this new Everton mascot

Are you still out on a sesh ? It's Sunday morning now lad

It must be just a coincidence that it's Man City and Chelsea with the most successful academy setups. I can't imagine what fuels that other than both clubs being ace.

How strong are your muscles getting ?

I think it's odd, especially after spending so much on 2 players last summer and getting so little from them. But as ever I'm willing to suspend disbelief and hope that someone at the club knows what they are doing.

If only there had been some way to strengthen the team from last season in it's universally accepted areas of weakness.

Conceding too many goals. Hope it gets sorted in the next 2 weeks.

Good to see Koumas starting. There's 4 or 5 players that should be ahead of him for that place, all on the bench.

Slave to the rhythm Never stop the action Oh, never stop the action Never stop the action Keep it up Keep it up Never stop the action Slave to the rhythm

It's beautiful that your heart is open and you can trust him.
