If you imagine Hendo or Fabinho as the 6 with Wirz and let's say McAllister or Szoboslai, and with Isak doing whatever he does then it's nowhere near effective enough.

Klopps team showed that you don't necessarily need these specialist midfielders if you can get the entire team working hard for each other. Not just relying on a specialist 6 to snuff out attacks. The idea that Wirtz is going to have the time and freedom to dictate games in this league is nice, but I'm not sure it's achievable and while you wait for that to happen you suffer from his lack of work. We've gone so far from what our identity was.
