    We aren't asking him to replace Slot. Just trying to give the players a lift by bringing back a coach they had some success with last season. For what it's worth I think the difference it would make is probably quite small but you never know.

    If other coaches had been sacked, to go with the set piece coach, nobody would have been surprised. Everything needs clearing and a reset. I'd hoped something would be lined up by now, this far into the season. Perhaps we are waiting for a manager to become available, or maybe they won't even start looking until after the world cup.
