There is a player... Only other time I have seen him was when he was brilliant against Man City in an earlier round He was f'ckin brilliant yesterday. He is good in the air, strong, can hold the ball up, is not slow, creates and can score goals as well. That was the player I thought we were getting when we signed Morientes
-
Now he is settled down and is happy he wants to be here, he is becoming the best player in the world (gerrard) I wouldnt swap him for anyone, that goal yesterday was an act of f'ckin god, we were out on our feet, beaten, and he could hardly walk with cramp and he pulls that out from 35 yards That was even more remarkable than Istanbul - we conceded an own goal, then the keeper spilled it to Ashton who was two yards offside when the first west ham shot was struck and then they scored with a cross. There name was on that cup and gerrard ripped it off That is the best goal a liverpool player has ever scored in a big match, that was f'ckin amazing.

I do not think pennant is good enough to be honest Would much rather leave gerrard there SWP is an example of why chelsea are very, very dangerous to football, they bought him simply to stop him going elsewhere. They will now loan him back to City for a few seasons or sell him to someone they do not consider a threat you cant blame players for going when chelsea come knocking, EVERY player thinks he is the best and beleive in himself enough to think they will be able to get in the first team. They will never take the pragmatic approach to such a move, that is why Chelsea are so dangerous to the game in this country. SWP was the first example of them buying for ridiculous money just to prevent someone going elsehwere and he wont be the last

Of course they can, they where all sent royal mail special delivery - so they have a tracking number and name and address for all those individual items

All they had to do was re-issue 1,600 bright orange tickets When anyone entered the ground with one of these orange tickets a steward escorts that person to their seat, if there is someone in that seat they are ejected from the ground They dont want to do that though and are looking to not have to deal with these stolen tickets at all, that is impression I get from the staduim manager from listening to him yesterday. They have three options 1) Do nothing and just let people sit in the stolen seats 2) Have stewards eject people from the stolen seats but do not reissue new tickets - which is what he was saying they are going to do yesterday 3) Issue new tickets and eject peole from stolen seats Options 2 and 3 are nearly exactly the same in terms of manpower and hassle to the stadium authorities and yet they are officialy sticking to option 2, that is because in reality they will be implementing option 1. Its a disgrace and liverpool should pull out of it, we are all Liverpool fans and we should all stick together

Benitez expecting to parade at least seven new faces
Huyton_Red replied to honourablegeorge's topic in Liverpool FC
In - Gonzalez, Paletta, Aureillo, Two strikers, a right midfielder and god knows who else - probably a replacement for someone we dont expect to see sold Out - Loads - Diao, Cheryou, Le-Tallec, Pongolle, Mellor, Kirkland, Dudek, Traore, Ciise, Morientes This summer will see the final cull of the players we dont need and we will finally have the sqaud benitez wants, two quality players in every position with a load of kids backing them up -
Chelsea will not sell any player to Liverpool He will end up at Spurs or abroad or on loan to a mid table team

At the start of the season Liverpool drew 4, won 2 and lost 2, only picking up 10 points from their first 8 games. In the next 27 games we picked up 69 points, if the season had stared after 8 games Liverpool would be champions. That has included two runs of 11 straight wins, one around xmas and one now, both breaking the old club record of games won on the trot. This summer we will finally buy a couple of world class goalscorers as well as a right winger. We finished 12 points behind Chelsea despite not having a striker who can score regulary, losing BOTH league games to Chelsea AND having that awful start to the season.

Afternoon over here.... One other type of scottish bloke - the ones who have a bit of common sense and leave the country = Scot....

Which games are on live on Sunday on Sky
Huyton_Red replied to Huyton_Red's topic in General Football Discussion
what a bizzare choice of games.... Either pick the Spurs AND Arsenal games or the Liverpool AND Utd games and focus on the battle for 2nd or 4th Me, I would of picked the Spurs and Arsenal ones. To be honest, I think the fact they have picked Arsenal over Spurs is bizzare. The only reason i can think they have picked Utd and Arsenal is so they get can get all misty eyed and nostalgic about what it used to be like before Liverpool and Chelsea became the two best teams in the country -
I forgot about babbel, he was a cracking player so add him to the list of exceptional players signed by the last manager
-
No suprise the way the scottish treated him..... Drunks or heroin addicts with the worst attitude on earth (apart from the Irish). The romans had it right when they built that wall to keep the f'ckers out Gary Mac, however, is a brilliant man in every way despite being scottish.

Anyone know ?

When has kewell EVER been exceptional for Liverpool ? Mcallister was a free transfer 35 year old who we got a fantastic 6 months out of (from Jan till the end of the season in the treble year) As for Finnan, he is a good right back - when Benitez arrived he wa identified as the biggest weakness in the team and a right back (Josemi) was brought in straight away He, to his credit, has fought back and improved under benitez's exceptional coaching and motivational skills. He has had a good season this year, the first couple of year he was very poor and nearly got bombed out the club The transfer dealings of the last manager where a f'ckin disgrace, to be frank. about 30 players he brought in at a cost of nearly £130 million and only Hyppia has been a consistently exceptional performer. His transfer record was diabolical - FACT
