Did anyone see the star(s) tatoo on his arm he kissed when he scored Was that five stars for the Euro cups ? Fair play to the lad if it was he has been sh'te like but any man that gets married in a red pimp suit and then gets the five stars tattooed on his forearm is good enough to be called a legend in an igor biscan sort of way

That was his first very good game since he joined, if he does that in every game from now till the end of the season then we may have a dillema, otherwise no time for sentiment sell along with Morientes and bring owen and another in

momo is my new favourite player... He is f'ckin brilliant Love him. He completely stops the other team playing, everyone goes on about ?Viera, he was not as mobile as momo is, the lad is a star, 21 - f'ckin ell. Great players impress you in nearly every game, alonso does that, sissoko does it as well. We have the best central midfield in the world, even if Chelsea get ballack we are better. Every bit as good a buy as alonso for different reasons IMHO.

So who really thinks we will sign Michael Owen
Huyton_Red replied to Phil236849's topic in Liverpool FC
Nailed on certain he will be signed Probably before the world cup as well, probably talking already now it is apparent newcastle will not qualify for Europe and his £12 million release clause will be activated -

Worst post ever in the ynwa Liverpool FC forum Baros won us the European cup playing up front on his own in every single knockout game and the final you sir, have just made the most outrageous LFC statement of all time
-
speaking of aggers identical twin, didn't little steven warnock have a great little game as well yesterday, especially going forward he got in some great crosses and was lively down the left Proper little tiger in the tackle as well, I really, really hope he progresses the rest of the season because I fear for him when this new brazilian left back comes in
-
did anyone mention how f'ckin awful ciise was at times yesterday ? Good lad, the players seem to like him as well judging by the way Gerrard ran right across the pitch when he scored the 2nd to give him a hug but f'ck me I have NEVER seen a player at this level (top four team)who can does some things so badly £14 million Makes me shudder every time I think about it, really does. The single worst transfer decision in the history of Liverpool FC. HE is our clubs record signing, beggars beleif.

Something is definately happening - Benitez yesterday "For me to see the team progressing this season is enough, next season will be completely different. If we finish second it will be good for confidence, but then the season will end and it will be different next time, certainly financially." The last two words say it all Morgan and a naming deal for the staduim..... Bet you 50 pence

miserable f'cker We dont do realism on here, we are either clinically depressed of ridiculously giddy

As far as I am concerned the man is an absolute legend already We all need to sit and think about exactly what he has turned down to stay with Liverpool, a chance to manage his club in his country with huge funds He will win the f'ckin lot with Liverpool I am sure of that - I will make a vow to the forum now, I will never criticise him on here, even if we lose 25 games on the run, he is a legend already and has moved right up there with the rest of the people I call gods who have worked for Liverpool FC Kenny, Barnes, Paisley, Shankly, Fagan, Rafa Gods

That has nothing to do with this ability as a journalist, it is the Echo that gets the stories, it always has done, always will do, would be the same whether you or I was the Echo's Liverpool writer. The Echo always has and always will be the clubs mouthpeice I havent liked Bascombe since he started be arrogant enough to start having a go at Liverpool fans from his free seat in the Main Stand every week towards the end of Houlliers reign.

We won the European Cup playing one up front (Baros) and five in midfield in all the knockout games. Baros had the energy and movement to play on his own and bother the best defences. against Juventus in both legs when he ran them f'ckin ragged for the first 25 minutes. Always said I rated him as a player, still do. Will argue with anyone till I am blue in the face that he is better than the four we have now. Fully accept that he had to go because Rafa said so and he is a god, but we are a much better TEAM with him in it in my very humble opinion. I dont care what anyone says, we have improved a huge amount at the back and in midfield and have a lot better keeper this season but up front we have gone backwards When I saw cisse, put the 15th cross of the night off the full back for a corner I just sat and shook my head. We sold the wrong one. I like Crouch but he doesnt work the opposition enough when he plays on his own up front, he is not mobile enough. If you dont have great wingers or a little magician playing off him you wont create much up front against strong defences when he plays. If you want to play the good teams and SCORE regulary with crouch up front you need better wingers than we have and a rooney or similair type player playing off crouch. We dont have the wingers to get crosses in and we have a badly misfiring morientes playing off crouch so we are struggling We where far better against the better teams with Baros on his own up there than with Crouch/Ciise/Morientes/Fowler as a pair or on their own. I might get ridiculed for that, but just look at last seasons champions league matches for evidence to back up what I am saying. If we are gonna stick with crouch then a winger who can cross a ball is an absolute must, as is another striker who can play off him properly. This is not knee jerk, we have all been watching us all season, we are no way near rght up front but this has been masked by the huge improvement in other areas of the team. We where a better team going forward last year and we only had baros, mellor and pongolle fit for most of the season. The saving grace is it sticks out like a sore thumb, everyone can see and Rafa is astute and ruthless enough to sort it, I think he will ditch any of them who arent doing it, including Morientes, including Garcia, dare I say it but one day even crouch if that is what is neccessary. Onwards and upwards

I am amazed you have chosen to attack traore, I really am What the f'ck was carragher playing at when he tryed a cruyf turn, fell over the ball and that resulted in Benfica's first goal, at least Troare managed to get the ball clear with his overhead kick What about carraghers miss from three yards in the first half, what about his headed miss from six yards in the second half Carragher had his worst game for years last night and here is a thread attacking the kid next to him. Carraghers mistake is what knocked the stuffing out of the team and eventually led to us being knocked out. not traore's A bit of balance eh
-
Why are you having a go at traore when it was carragher who was at fault for their goal AND who missed two absolute sitters from six yards out, every single one of them, finna, gerrard and alonso apart had very average games last night with garcia and morientes having awful games. You cant focus on anyone, the whole team did not perform, the manager didnt either, he should of changed things at half time andthe first sub he made, cisse playing wide was the wrong one, how many more crosses have to go off the full back for a corner for him to realise ciise cant play there and it is shattering his already fragile confidence playing him there. It was just a bad night all round and me need to move on as quickly as possible Agree with your first point though, hopefully last night will wake everyone up, the fans and the board. From the minute Benfica come out the hat we all thought we only had to turn up to go through. This was always a three/four year rebuilding job for Rafa and last night proves that. We have made huge strides but we still need to make a few more. Hopefully last night will wake us all up, especially the bad shirt wearing Cheif Executive and we will address our problems in the summer. As you say, two strikers and a right winger are an absolute must, and not free transfers either, quality players we need.
-
I think we all should be really, really scared like we where in every game we played in the knock out stages last year and f'ckin scream the place down. Elisha is right when he says us fans got a bit complacent against Benfica, we need to wake up, imagine going out to them, that would be a travesty After watching last nights games as well I am convinced we are gonna win it again if we get through tonight - Come on yeh f'ckers lets do our bit for the players and then hopefully they will do their bit
-
I actually think its all set up for Robbie to score Its gonna be one of them magical nights, I can feel it in my bones I hope we score first half and then continue to attack. I am dreading us scoring, sitting off them and getting done by a set peice late on I think if we get one early we can go and do them 3-0, send a message out that the champions are gonna kick everyones ar'ses if they try and take our trophy
-
I was told last nite that all the Rafa stuff in the press is all coming from people associated with Steve Morgan.... He is gonna have another go soon and he is trying to get the fans onside first, scared they will lose Rafa if Morgan doesnt get the club
