I think it's strange he's not moved more centrally already. On the wing, he rarely beats people these days, but he's still a really good finisher. Ronaldo moved more centrally as he got older, and it would make sense for Mo to do same IMO.

Needs better delivery, and pity his pullback to Wirz was so bad, but so nice to have some pace back in the team. Had forgotten what that looks like. Unfortunately he might be back at right back again now cos of Bradley's injury...

Was it my imagination, or did Taylor also wait an absurdly long time before letting Frimpong back on the pitch after he rolled his ankle? The ball was even over that side of the pitch so Taylor was looking right at him, but still waited another minute before he let him back on.

I'm encouraged by tonight. We seemed more determined, and after a shaky start, it never felt like we were in too much danger. And we bossed the second half. Think most on here feared a bit of a brutal beating. I'm also encouraged by how crap Gyokeres is.

Pass and (don't) move. It's the new Liverpool way. Thought he was ok tonight. Would have been interesting if we'd been able to bring Ekitike on in the second half, but maybe we would have lost the solidity.

Also think there should be more talk about the potential penalty on Wirtz. Would have been a soft one, but seen those given plenty of times, particularly when it's Saka initiating contact and going down.

Cheating and feigning injury is so ingrained in Arsenal's DNA, that they just assume everyone is doing the same. But absolutely shameful for Martinelli to do that to a fellow pro who right from the off, looked like he'd done himself a serious injury.

Klopp was passionate in a fun way (probably annoying for fans of other teams). Arteta just seems like a total weirdo. I don't even know what he's getting so annoyed about. He's another that probably murders kittens in his spare time.

NBC are outraged that we're playing defensively. It reminds me of the game we played away at City last year. Jones for Wirtz would probably help (as it was at City), and likely to happen in the second half.

You can tell he's got phenomenal skill, but he's put in a load of very underwhelming performances, and looked far too weak on too many occasions. I think there's a load of mitigating factors here - the entire team has played like crap (with no identity and aimless tactics), and particularly in our wide positions, we've had nothing that could help him play to his strengths. But I'd say the most damning thing is that had Harvey Elliott been given the amount of time/games Wirtz has, he'd have done a load more, but we'd probably still be saying we can get someone much better. I still think Wirtz will come good - but we might need a new manager for that to happen.
