Well, WHU are drawing from a much bigger catchment area and offer real support in the way they allow players to develop recognisable talent/potential: they don't go for the best looking kids and then try to adapt them according to fixed ideas about what they (the club) want, the "You're a big lad, you should play at centre half" approach. I come from near West Ham (Upton Park) originally and know the set-up reasonably well: they are very, very good with the kids and their parents. A certain club in West London are the exact opposite. Oh, and regarding Rio & Johnson, I asked this question of a life-long Hammers fan on Monday and he reckoned that they did play together - could have been a slip of memory though, he's even older than me. They certainly were in the same squad.
