The writing was on the wall for this when it was reported that Hughes was off in September and simply had to execute all the plans he and his team had made. It's clearly a sh*tshow behind the scenes. Doesn't feel like anyone gives a fck either.

RB, RW, LW shouldn't be starting for us. And this is assuming everyone is fit. At least one of the WC lads won't make it.

The squad is just not going to be ready for the start of the season. We need at least 5 more ins I'd say. No way we get that done in enough time for them to be up to speed and ready to go in 4 weeks. Starting 11 at Newcastle right now feels brutal.

I thought Anderson was really good. They hype around Rogers though was too much. People were saying he should be starting instead of Bellingham at the beginning of the tournament. He looks a really good #10 but we've already got one of them. He looked out of position on the right against Argentina despite the assist.

Rogers is not a left winger and if you're talking about value then he's not that either at £117m. Villa fans were jeering him at the beginning of last season btw.
