I agree. A 100% hit rate with so many first team signings is pretty unheard of. I think all of them, bar Frimpong, have shown flashes if we're being kind. I'd have hoped for more than that by now tbh. I'm not a tactics nerd but it seems like we've gone from a system which is heavily reliant on the RB (and the lad in front of him) to be the most influential creative force to one that is more conventional. However when the player you spend £116m on to do it is stinking the place out then there is a domino effect all over the pitch. The best we've played this season was first 30 against Everton without Wirtz on the pitch. Add into the mix that Salah has had a massive drop off, Konate is sh*t and...well...we are where we are. Ekitike looks the best.

The high level churn was always going to mean we were a bit disjointed these first couple of months. If we're top going into the next international break then we've done well. The performances have to start improving soon though.

They all deserve time. They all joined when the club was in mourning. Edit. This isn't a dig at you btw. Think everyone agreed that this could end up being a weird and difficult season and could go one of two ways. Easy to forget when we're all emotional and angry at losing.

He's done better than Frimpong and Wirtz pound for pound in that he's had two games against two of our biggest rivals and been really good for the full 90. I'm confident Wirtz will be brilliant but its zero assists and goals and we look better when he's not on the pitch unfortunately. Not sure about Frimpong yet. Been stop start for him.

Kerkez has been inconsistent. Two very good performances against Everton and Arsenal and some other not so good ones. Although it's a fairly low bar he's done better than at least two of our other more eye catching signings. Seems an easy target because he's got a block head or something.
