I'd love it if we signed richards and bale and then built up... If we signed both of them we'd only really need a RM and a striker, and we'd have loads of young kids to bed in/give a shot to set the league on fire (leto (as people say), anderson, hammill all young players who play out wide)

Quaresma has amazing footwork.... and amazing skill, like ronaldo he used to be only skill and no end product, but also like ronaldo he seems to have found the balance between skill and effectivity... I'd give him a shot here... although I think he will either suceed here and become world class or become a huge flop, it all comes down to the way he adapts to the english game.

A lot of the best players at youth level dont start the tournament as first choice, i remember it happened with d'alessandro and recently with either messi or aguero... AND... Didn't mellor break owen's goalscoring records for the youths or reserve side?

Leto hasn't even touched a ball for us, and I guess most people havent even seen him play and hes already being considered for our left winger spot... I'd like to see the likes of Hammill and Anderson given a chance on the wings

Mascherano might be good defending, but his passing ability seemed on par with Sissoko vs. Villa... We need to keep a hold of Xabi. PS: And I love that we have mascherano here as hes an amazing young talent we have.

Last night I dreamt Xabi had been sold... Mascherano is good defensively, but I think it showed today the difference that Alonso's passing range gives us from just infront of the defence to anywhere in the pitch.

I had surgery on this 4 years ago... Its not career ending for sure, but your knee is never the same.

I think that this policy has been something we have been lacking in recent years, and maybe the last player to come good to us after a loan period was Danny Murphy, which says a lot. I hope players like Anderson also get a chance to play on a higher level like Hammil is doing. Also this helps a lot for young foreign players like Antwi and Idrizag (sp) to adapt to the english style.
