Once you start playing games every 3 to 4 days you can't do that. This is why pre season is vital, and all coaches and players talk about this consistently. Our pre season was massively disrupted for one very obvious and tragic reason.

He's sporting director. He builds the squad and shapes the intended playing style and recruits players and coaches accordingly.

Whilst I agree there some significant mitigation, the prosecution is stringer than that Ant. 1. He refuses to use the squad. We needed the likes Quansah and Elliot this year, but he made it clear that he's to scared to play them, he only wants full internationals. 2. A continuation of this, his comments about players publicly is shocking. Ramsay being a good example. His man management is shocking. 3. He lowers expectations, just like Hodgson did. See his comments pre Brighton. 4. His subs. They are chaotic and in many games have weakened us. See Spurs the other day. 5. His understanding of the Premier League. He thinks walking possession football is what is right and proper and doesn't entertain the idea that you have to earn the right, and you have to work as hard or harder than the oppositon first. 6. He never acknowledges we have no midfield. Forget the long balls against us, teams like Wolves walked through out midfield with ease. 7. He doesn't know what to do with Wirtz, Macca, Grav and Dom, so he plays them all when fit. The in balance is partly because of this, with Dom at right back. 8. Dom at right back. The mitigations are fair, but he's still not good enough.

I've fallen in love with you lately, but i'm not sure I agree anyone on here didn't lay ANY blame on him for performances and results.
