One could argue that the fact that Iraola is more likely to play the younger players means the squad is already bigger. I'd make Ramsay captain on that basis.

I wouldn't play him, for the reasons you state, but his best contributions have all been wide right. It's where he seems most comfortable.

A number of things to be honest. One being it's forced on the captains, many of whom I suspect aren't actually supportive. It's not an opted in exercise. It's a token gesture that's forced and actually, in my eyes, doesn't carry any weight, changes nothing. Doesn't feel credible. I personally suspect the LGBQT community neither wants nor needs young heterosexual men wearing an armband in this context. I get something is better than nothing, but if feels empty. A couple of games a year with the Stop Racism campaign I feel is also toothless. I'd prefer to see tangible evidence of 1. Inclusion and 2. Zero tolerance and transparent punishment for abuse (of all kinds).

Correct, I don't care if Hendo is pro LGBTQ and seen as a visible ally, as to me that's the norm. I care about those that are anti. What I don't like is people like Hendo being put in a position that's more than it is (PL campaign and he's the club captain), and then him being vilified subsequently when he's still an ally, even if he's made that career choice. Everything is too extreme these days. Have to be all in either way, does my nut in. As for Guehi, like I say, it comes with religion (very often). He doesn't go out of his way to be anti though, and he's quite right to challenge wearing the rainbow armband if he's not comfortable. I'm an ally, but wouldn't wear the armband either. Hendo isn't anti, but he put himself in a society that is. Some of our lads will be anti. Did Mo ever speak about it or was he made to? For the record, I would consider myself an ally of that community, but I don't care if others are actively that. Only care if they are visibly anti that.

Thinking purely starting 11. Ali ?, ?, VvD, Kerkez Grav, Dom Rio, Wirtz, Barcola Isak I think this front 4, albeit Rio is young, could be devastating. Alternative more robust midfield and forward line might be.. Grav, Macca Dom, Wirtz, Barcola Isak. Gakpo, Rio, Ekitike, Jones, Bajcetic, Elliot as back ups.. Just makes me think if we get Barcola done, we really need to prioritise right side of defence. I'd get a loan or a free for right sided CB asap.

Wirtz will come good and in Klopp's onw wirds is a generational talent. Isak is a known premier league talent. Jacquet looks a real prospect, everyone was happy with Kerkez signing at the time. Frimpong, less convinced. Leoni got injured. Many could still prove to be excellent. This summer the market has gone mad.

Klopp had nothing to with with how much players cost and whether or jot we should spend it. He was happy to spend as much as it costs if he wanted the player and the club were happy to pay. Nunez being a good example.

He scored 13 last season and played well.

Depends on the manager. It's not easy managing a big squad of talent.
