We lost points in 8 games and there might be a few regrets in most. Wasted good chances vs Everton and Arsenal away etc. etc. However with 97pts it is really fine margins that one is talking about. Usually teams are allowed much more errors than we made this season and still win the league.

We do not need much. Decent LB cover in defence and maybe a new CB if we sell Lovren. RB with Gomez, Hooever etc we probably have enough cover. Midfield one major signing with probably Lallana now being moved on. Up front I think we'll keep Origi, have Brewster coming through.....so one major signing needed.

It did feel worse because it was an unexpected challenge but also part of an error strewn season with all teams doing their best to screw up their lead. It looked like it was too good a chance to miss but we lost out. This year we won 30, drew 7 and lost 1. There is no "moment" that one can look back on and say that it cost us the league. With 97pts you have done better than everyone .......except this year. This team is a machine, we're up against another machine. I sincerely hope Madrid is the beginning of the cycle. This team deserves a trophy. I feel that as things stand it will be City vs Liverpool again next year.

I think 05 was better because we were being ripped to shreds in the 1st half. At HT I hoped that at best we could get a goal to have something to cheer about.

31st October 1996 CWC 2nd leg vs Sion- Score 6-3. Sat in the main stand. We had won 2-1 away in the first leg so I thought I was guaranteed an easy ride for my first game. We immediately went 2-0 down before McManaman scored before half-time. Bjornebye then levelled the score with a free kick only for Sion to score again (and to be in line to qualify due to the away goal rule). Barnes then scored a backheeled goal before Fowler grabbed a brace. Berger wrapped up the game with a late goal. James, Scales, Babb, McAteer, Matteo, Bjornebye, Barnes, Thomas, McManaman, Fowler, Berger. Subs: Warner, Ruddock, Redknapp (replaced Scales after an hour), Kennedy, Collymore (was the beginning of the end for him already. He was left on the bench following some disciplinary issue if I remember well).

Very hard to happen but we can only hope. Leicester need points for European qualification so they will at least try.

Not sure it was mentioned earlier, but we are in the Champs Lge semi whilst also challenging for the league for the first time since the mid-80s.
