The big thing for me is that Babel runs at defenders. Defenders f***ing hate that. Its not the Kevein Kilbane school of attcking the defender either. The kid is good. the abuse he gets off forumites and others is the typical short-termism you come to associate with modern day football fans. Freeze dried sucess just add water. Unfortunately its just not like that. The kid moved from a different country into a different live. He is a qualtiy player and we will see it whether its this season or next.

He will rattle in the goals against the lower division sides and the fillers in the CL but its the big games you expect your big signings to perform in.

They were amazing two seasons ago when the won the CL. Since then its like the club has gone backwards. They still can play some terrific stuff but they are so bad at the back its like no matter how many they score they are likely to conceed as many at the other end. They splash money on a defender who cant defend in the off season, right position, wrong player. very poor again tonight and its looking like they will be dropping points at home to racing.
