I take your point but conceeding changes mentality right away. If the game continued as it started yesterday obviously with us getting tighter at the back then im convinced we would have scored. By conceeding we went for it straight away and scored twice in 6 minutes. I dont think there is anything negative in approaching games they way we have its just that things become more urgent once we conceed

Fuller is also strong and good and good in the air. The majority of their attacks stems from him holding the ball and negating that is important in not conceeding. Experience deals with this effectively.

One thing I noticed last night was his ability to retain possession. As a previous poster mentioned it looked at points that Marseille just couldnt get the ball off him. Well done to the lad and I hope this is the season we get to see what we expect.

Lots of people will their own opinion as to what our strongest 11 is. The 11 I want to see out on Saturday is the 11 that will be most effective against Stoke. So far this season they have been strong and have really being pressurising the opposition. IMO we need to play a solid passing game building from the back and maintaining possession. Also, against teams like stoke we need to play our faster players upfront so a front line of Torres, with Babel, Riera and possibly Keane directly behind. If Masch does need a rest then the midfield two picks itself in Gerrard and ALonso. I also think this is a job for Sami with Fuller up front.
