Well he listed both Ronaldo and Veron in his 3 out of 4 list so if he meant Ronaldo is either still there or cost the same as Torres then it's an even more huge mistake isn't it?

United got £80M for Ronaldo and spent how much of it? Hardly unlimited financial backing is it when you consider how much more than us they earn every season. And lets be honest, we haven't won it for almost 20 years now and have very rarely challenged so how will it be any worse? Riera not Milner as I suggested before you all wet yourselves laughing - whoes the comedian's npw? £18M for a RB( a very good one), £20M for a player untried in the PL, injured for the best part of two seasons and still to play a first team game for us due to still being injured when we signed him, when we're already out of the title race and as good as dead in Europe if we don't beat Lyon away. £20M for Keane, £9M for Riera, £11M for Babel, £7M on Pennant to leave on a free, Voronin's signing on and wages, Degen's as well. Don't say that he's not had money because he has, he's just spunked a lot of it up! It's late, but you all know it's true - we are never gonna win the league under Rafa, and personally I'll be happy when the inevitable happens and he f***s off. I support Liverpool FC, not Rafa Benitez FC.

Its worth remembering that Rafa rarely picks Agger ahead of Skrtel or Carragher anyway, so how he's gonna get gametime is up for debate. Personally I wouldn't have him anywhere near the Denmark squad, but it's only us supporters that see him as our best CB by a mile, not the manager.

If you'd bothered to stay at home and watch ESPN like us proper supporters then you'd realise that Storey DIDN'T handle the ball it hit the post. You'd also realise that it was in fact a BLATANT corner and that the ref was specifically saying a MINIMUM of 1 minute and that the extra time was because of Reina booting the ball away and getting booked. We are still expected to mark players at corners irrelevant of how long we think is left you know? We didn't lose at Spurs because of the ref not giving us a penalty, and we didn't lose last night because of another added 40 seconds. We lost both because just like our entire preseason we are playing s**** football once again.

We received £xM for Keane agreed, but we'd already spent £x+2M on him hadn't we so he can't really count as unearned income can he?

Carragher was awful yesterday, he hasn't been great for a while but he gets cut slack because he's a scouser and will continue to be willing to bleed for the shirt. His challenge on Skrtel was bloody ridiculous - as already posted he saw Skrtel coming and still leapt in to him! Don't overlook the fact that we could have easily lost 5-1 yesterday and it wouldn't have been unfair. As for his organising abilities he seemed tho think Keane was invisible as he was unmarked in our box countless times. I said this over 12 months ago, Jamie God bless him is becoming a liability. Our best players were Reina who is possibly the best keeper in the world, and the two fullbacks Johnson playing his first game and an Argentinian kid. We were woeful yesterday, make no mistake about it.

I can only find him playing 61 games in the last 5 seasons so thats actually 1 in 4, I'm quite prepared to accept that the figures are wrong if anyone's got different ones?

I don't want to interrupt you all leaping on this particular bandwagon, but a quick google has come up with him not playing more than 20 games a season in the last 5 seasons, 14, 20, 9,11,and 7 last season are the figures I've got. The last 3 seasons has produced an impressive 27 games! The injuries over the last 2 years have been, thigh, calf and ankle, all to the same leg, and eventually requiring ankle surgery after months of being told only rest was needed, surgery he's still recovering from. And we do buy injury prone players look at Aurelio and Degen - yes the Degen who was unfairly criticized before he signed for being injury prone and made of glass and who has subsequently been seen about as much as Shergar! So if he's not injury prone/injured a lot what is he exactly?

I'd take Flamini for Alonso, and buy Silva/Young with every penny I had left.

Douglas (FC Twente) Plucked from the Brazilian Serie C just two years ago, Douglas emerged as the strongest central defender in the Netherlands this year. Intimidating, unrelenting and bright, the 21-year-old could be the best defender to come out of the Netherlands since Jaap Stam. Anyone seen much of this guy? Pasted from the dutch league team of the year so apologies for that.

Unless its changed finishing 2nd generates substantially more TV money from next seasons CL group stages than finishing 3rd or 4th does.

The very thought that Ashley Young wouldn't improve us significantly on both wings is ridiculous - he's a top player who is only going to get better. He's got pace, dribbling ability, works hard and is one of if not the best crossers/freekick taker in the PL. Anyone with half a brain can see that he is very good. And Jagielka ia a good player, covers all across the back 4 and has proven himself this season capable of more than holding his own against all of the top strikers in the PL. For the price they paid he's been a bit of a steal.

He's been playing very well lately as even I've admitted but this is so far over the top its bordering on ridiculous.

Both Carra and Skrtel were very poor against Chelsea at Anfield, Skrtel was rested/dropped and Agger came in and did well, back to Carra and Skrtel for the 2nd leg against Chelsea and they didn't play well as a unit once more. With our "1st choice" CB's we've let in 7 in two games against Chelsea. I want Agger to play because I think he's our best CB bar none and I've said it before on here.
